Mow around nogo zones and obstacles in a complete circle

Yarbo does really well with nogo zones and obstacles now, but the goal has to be to mimic what we would do if we were mowing. And what we would do in almost all cases is mow around the object, nogo zone, or obstacle…like in a complete circle. So if it reaches a tree, go around, circle back, and then continue on.

The Mow Along No-go Zones setting doesn’t provide this?

No. Mow along no-go is nice, but it does it just to get by the zone or obstacle. It doesn’t double back to mow around it. So you end up with an obstacle where 2 of the sides are mowed, and the other 2 sides have unmowed strips. Unless I missed something, I don’t think Yarbo focuses on nogo zones or obstacles as things to be mowed around.

This is what my map shows when I turn that option off and on.

I think the author is describing when it avoids something and drops the automatic no go zone. Right now this is the first release of this updated vision algorithm and pathing algorithms. This will only get better with future releases. I too would like it to get a little closer to the objects and NGZ’s.

Yes, what Ken showed looks good. I didn’t realize it did that. If Yarbo could also do that with obstacles, I think it would really mimic what we would do with a manual mower.

Ah, so the automatic No-go Zones detected with sensors. Drive + mow around those objects. Got ya.

It’s my understanding that’s what Vision will do for us when it is further along – incorporate what it sees to complete the work more thoroughly, instead of dancing and doing big arcs!
