Small lawn mapping

A mapping option for specifically sidewalk strips would be awesome. I don’t really need Yarbo making 4-5 passes with perimeter mows for a sidewalk strip. Some level of AI learning, Yarbo gets smarter as it mows the same areas. I have a small lawn, 5k square feet. I just care about cut quality and laying down awesome strips. I don’t really need Yarbo cutting across a freshly cut lawn to get back to its pathway. Maybe Intrack’s around the perimeter to get back where it needs to

Thanks for sharing your experience with us! We’ve received two feature requests related to this:

  1. Allowing a no-perimeter mowing option for an area.
  2. Allowing Yarbo to travel along the already well-cut route or perimeter instead of cutting through freshly mowed grass.

I’ll also make sure to share your use case for small lawn mapping with our product team. We appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind for future updates!

Regarding mapping, or executing a plan. My Yarbo will run the same direction around the lawn for the perimeter passes. Is it possible for it to travel east for one perimeter and then west on a following cut? The perimeter areas just seem to have the grass bent over. Also, any chance of getting Yarbo to make smoother turns? I feel like it has the ability to, it just goes and stops, turns, stops and goes again instead of making a smooth transition.

It is not currently possible. It is actually intentional so that the primary or left antenna (as you face the rear of the core) is away from boundary lines. This is to ensure the primary antenna gets the most GPS signal when it is up near houses, fences, etc. Putting that antenna closer to those objects could impact its ability to operate and even operate with centimeter level accuracy. However, there was another request for this on the forum and I believe Yarbo took it for consideration.
