I got my mower pro setup today and so far it’s mostly good. My question is related to fixed obstacles in the mow path. For example I have a hydrant in my yard and I want it to mow right to it and not leave a huge unmowed patch around it.
any suggestions on how to achieve this?
What I do for a telephone pedestal is I have that area set for gentle contact. I’m ok with it bumping it and going around. It gets closer cut this way. You will have to rotate your pattern and it will get closer on the second pass from a different direction. I use checkerboard and it gets most of this over the course of 2 mows.
The other thing you can do is a NGZ and set the area settings to mow around the NGZ boundary as well as set the safety buffer for the NGZ to zero. It will plan for this and mow accordingly, but you may have to do something like a dead end (or memory path if you have the trimmer) to clean up a little closer as needed.
