Nearly broke a window throwing rocks trying to charge

Here in PA it’s a pretty nice day. I manually drove Yarbo into the yard for some sun so I could clean the dock and tighten the dock lags. It seems they came loose over time from when I installed it in the summer.

I was standing in the garage looking through the door’s window while manually driving Yarbo, with the snowblower module installed, back to the dock. I backed it on the dock to where I was pretty sure it was good then hit the “Recharge” button in the app Controller. Prior to this I’ve always hit the battery icon on the main page which starts/stops charging. Yarbo automatically dropped the snowblower module and kicked on the auger. This dropped the auger right into some stones and threw them into the house and window (I have 0 dock cleaning passes set in the app due to these rocks). Fortunately nothing broke but my Wife was less than thrilled.

Is this expected behavior? I’ve only manually drove Yarbo with the snow blower off the dock as we’ve not gotten much snow at all yet. I’m thinking because the snowblower module is on the logic is there will be snow everywhere so dropping the module height and kicking on the auger is required. If this is expected behavior then I guess I’ll really need to move the dock or set up a Snow location. That or don’t send it out automatically for snow.

So this is becoming a common complaint when it comes off the dock. It drops the module down and when it hits the pathway, then it raises up to the pathway height. Yes, hitting the recharge button on the app causes it to form an auto plan to dock and anytime the snow blower is moving autonomously, it is running the auger (unless in plow mode, battery is too low, or auger is off in work preferences).

Don’t like that behavior.
But I have activated the plow mode when we don’t have any snow so the yarbo doesn’t turn on the snow blows all the time.

Thanks for that idea, I just enabled Plow mode.

I have a dog tent covering my charge pad and I set Peckerhead to turn off the blower when searching the pad.

Exactly the same here. Dog house is the way to go. No need for Yarbo to clear snow off the dock.

I accidentally ended up with two, so I used the second to put on an awning and back. Works great and doesn’t block the GPS signal.

I had a similar situation where Yarbo was about 10 feet from the dock and I hit the recharge. Yarbo turned 180 Deg. going back to recharge with the augur on and threw a rock at the kitchen window. Nothing broke but it was close call. I will turn plow mode on and becarfule next time. Thank you for the idea.
