Newb needs help with setup and mapping

I just received my mower and I’m trying to understand setup and mapping. I know I need to map the perimeter of the work area(s) but it isn’t clear what I need to do after that. What is necessary to setup a mowing job? Do I just turn Yarbo loose in the area I want to mow and let it find its own path or ???

After completing the docking station and data center install, step one is to map an area. Step two is to map a pathway from the area to the docking station. The best way to do this is to put the Yarbo on the docking station manually, get it charging, then enter yard, edit, then click on pathway and then +. After this, you need to create a work plan. This lets you put one area (or multiples), dead ends, etc into a plan for execution. You can manually start this plan or schedule it then. Click Start, then + to create the work plan. Select the area(s) you want and name it. Then you can hit start and select that plan.

Just to emphasize this point…

Step 1 is to properly install the Data Center in a location where there is an unobstructed view of the sky all the way around it. This is critical. Yarbo will not function properly if the data center is not installed correctly.

For smooth operation of Yarbo, the first step is to choose a good installation location for the Data Center, as rgloverii has emphasized. It’s very important that the Data Center has a clear, unobstructed view of the sky in all directions so it can receive a strong GPS signal.

Next, install the docking station, and make sure its location also has good GPS coverage. This will ensure reliable positioning and proper operation when Yarbo returns to charge.

Once both are installed, you can follow the guidance in the app to:

  1. Map the perimeter of your work area(s)

  2. Create a mowing work plan based on those mapped areas
