I propose the creation of “no-traverse zones” to deal with Yarbo wearing out turf at shortcut locations. This zone would admit regular mowing, deadends, and pathways, but block the traversing movements Yarbo uses constantly to travel around lawns. Users could place no-traverse zones at the corners of buildings, landscaping, or any other choke points that receive excessive travel, forcing Yarbo to take the longer path around the zone and spread out wear on the grass. By enabling or disabling different sized no-traverse zones, high traffic spots could be protected. Better yet, make the no-traverse zones automatically vary in size to spread out the wear.
