I’m posting here because I don’t know what else to do, and I’m hoping someone may have had a similar experience or can point me in the right direction. Up until a month ago, my Yarbo was working great. Like a little trooper it is. I was very happy with it, I’ve always been happy despite an occasional hiccup. Then, I feel it was after an update, everything seemed to start going downhill. My first issue was with the blade adjustment. I contacted Team Yarbo about it, and I do want to say that I appreciate the help I have received. They sent me a replacement Lawn Mower Pro Module. I was surprised, relieved, and super happy because I thought I was finally going to be able to mow again. I attached the replacement module and did a manual test strip, and everything seemed peachy. It felt like a small victory. Unfortunately, I then had to charge Yarbo, and that is when the next round of problems began. I had a GPS issue. Yarbo Support suggested swapping the antennas, and that did solve the GPS problem, so I was very grateful for that simple fix. Another problem down. Now I am dealing with a persistent “Battery Error” message. Initially I could clear the error by disconnecting the battery for five minutes, but now even that does not work. The error just stays there. On top of that, my Yarbo is no longer detecting the Lawn Mower Pro Module. I have triple-checked that it is attached correctly. I have removed it, reattached it, checked everything I can think of, and it still is not being detected. My Yarbo is also not charging on the docking station, so I currently have it on manual charge. Between the blade adjustment issue, the GPS problem, the battery error, the module not being detected, and the docking/charging issue, I feel like I am chasing one problem after another. Every time I think I have made progress, another error pops up and waves hello. The hardest part is that my front and backyard is now completely out of control. I’m in Georgia, where we have had a lot of rain, and the grass just keeps growing while I wait for answers. I have not been able to mow for about a month. My dogs cannot really use the backyard because the grass is so high it’s a jungle, and my neighbor has complained several times about my front yard because it surrounds her property. There are also snakes everywhere, which makes my whole situation even more stressful. I know I may sound dramatic, but after weeks of this, I am at the giving-up point. I’m exhausted.
At this point, I would really appreciate any advice because support isn’t responding. I just want my Yarbo working again, my grass under control, and maybe five minutes where I am not being emotionally defeated by a mower. Right now, the mower is winning.
If @bryan.wheeler ’s excellent advice doesn’t resolve the issue, post your ticket number here and hopefully @Yarbo-Forum will be able to escalate your issue.
Really sorry for the inconvenience caused. I’ve seen in your ticket that the earlier issues you mentioned have now been resolved, and you are currently experiencing a location/position mismatch issue with Yarbo.
Could you please first check this article to make sure you have followed the correct steps for the map drift correction?Map Drift Correction | Yarbo Wiki
If you have already followed the steps but the issue still persists, our support team will follow up on your ticket to provide further assistance.
Thank you to everyone who responded. My post sat in pending for a bit, and once I received help, I couldn’t delete it. That really should be an option. Before opening a ticket though, I had already tried all the forum fixes I could find, but absolutely nothing worked. A month without mowing in rural Georgia is basically an invitation for snakes to move in, and my neighbor yelling at me every day has become its own special feature. I’m thankful the Yarbo Support Team worked some magic and fixed my problems. Naturally, because this is apparently my very own lawn-care soap opera, a new issue appeared! Now my Yarbo now has no idea where he is. Map Drift Correction doesn’t seem to do anything, so I’m waiting for support to work their magic again because I miss my little trooper and my neighbor hates me.
My Yarbo is on his docking station and charging when I try to do Correct Map Drift. The issue is that my Yarbo doesn’t seem to recognize that he is actually on the docking station. In my app, he thinks he is somewhere else, and each time I try again, his location appears to change to a new incorrect position.
Are you actively charging on the dock and Is your RTK status 4, HDOP less than 1.4, L2 greater than 10, and quality 0.92? If not, I would not try correcting for map drift, as this will cause the shift of the map to be inaccurate. As @B-Mod said, some screenshots of your diagnostics and DC scatterplot would be helpful.
Each time I try the location changes but I’m always willing to try again but alas, no luck and here’s my screenshots (I have no clue what this means - Is your RTK status 4, HDOP less than 1.4, L2 greater than 10, and quality 0.92? I’m so sorry!)
Sadly, I don’t have any spare antennas. But funny you should mention that, though, because about a week ago I had no GPS at all, and Support asked me to swap my antennas. That actually brought my GPS back, so my antennas have already had a little adventure and aren’t damaged, I have zero trees. Here are my screenshots from a week ago too.
I’d get you 1 or 2 on order while you wait on support to diagnose it and if it resolves the issue, they will send you some and then you’d have a spare. Alternative is to wait for support to diagnose it and ship you some, but that might take a little while. I strongly suspect the right antenna is going bad.
I appreciate both you and B-Mod helping me with all my crazy. I was thinking about ordering RTK Antenna Pro for Data Center & Rover, because I have some points I could use. Do you know if I’m able to combine those point coupons, or would you recommend something different? At this point, I’m open to any suggestions that gets my Yarbo back on its tracks. My Boston Terrier is very sad that he can’t go in the backyard (he’s too short), and he’s starting to take it personally.
I would definitely consider using the points for the Pro’s if you got them. But they are on Preorder currently. I don’t think you can stack the coupons. But, you can place them as separate orders. Maybe @Yarbo-Forum knows if you can stack points coupons. Since they are preorder I would consider just buying the standard RTK off of Yarbo’s website. They stock them and ship pretty quickly. Yarbo store on Amazon would be another option.
As Bryan mentioned, the Pro RTK Antennas are currently in the preorder stage. If you need a replacement urgently, you may want to consider purchasing the standard RTK antenna instead, as it is available now.
So I decided to brave our 500-degree attic today to check whether my original antennas were still in the Yarbo box. I have the rubber bendy ones on, just in case, but would you believe it, I still had my originals. I powered Yarbo off, swapped the antennas, and came back inside to grab my phone. Naturally, that was the exact moment I saw an email from Support saying they had tried to check my backend logs, but Yarbo was showing as offline. Of course he was. I had just powered him down for his little antenna transplant. Unfortunately, the antenna swap did not fix my positioning issue. Hopefully the logs can help show what is going on, because he is still very confused about where he is. @Yarbo-Forum Bummer on the no coupon stacking, seems a bit crazy to pay all those separate shipping fees.
