Yarbo wont move when starting a mowing plan

New issue just popped up on my Yarbo.

I started a mow to do my front yard and the unit simply isn’t moving (no error message though).

If I open the controller and move it, it goes just fine.

GPS signal is green and I just power cycled the unit and DC.

Anyone seen similar and know the cure?

When you start the plan, what does it say or show in the app?

Hi there! Sometimes this can be caused by a temporary system glitch. Could you please try starting the mowing task a few more times to see if it operates normally now?

If the issue still persists, please feel free to submit a support ticket and include any relevant information, along with a video showing the behavior. This will help our support team investigate the issue more efficiently.

@Yarbo-Forum

Ticket was submitted (217916) yesterday, hopefully their response is quick.

I tried starting a plan this morning and the issue persists. The lights on the Yarbo come on and then it sits there.

After 10 minutes I do get a popup that says Yarbo hasn’t moved 1m in 10 minutes and it pauses the plan.

Have you check to make sure there is a pathway just off the charging pad to an area to be mowed and/or checked to make sure there are pathways connecting the areas to be mowed?

:beer_mug:

Yup its all connected and even if I move the unit to the lawn it still wont move on a plan.

I know it has resulted in loss of GPS for you when you do this (at least for a while), but have you tried the 5 min battery disconnect?

I woke up to this notification this morning as well. But it must give powered through because it was running again after the notification.

Similar-ish time stamps. @slw2206

May have just lost GPS. The message is a generic warning to check your machine because it has been stopped (for any reason).

@bryan.wheeler - I did try that, twice actually and no luck this time.

Yarbo Support responded to my ticket and said its “most likely a software glitch” and theyre going to remote in and fix it. I’m guessing that won’t happen until the overnight hours.

They really need to clarify that error message.

Really it should say something like “Yarbo hasn’t moved 1 meter in 10 minutes while in operation.”

The current wording is not clear. “Planning” to me means Yarbo is deciding what to do, and of course Yarbo isn’t going to be driving anywhere while recharging.

I’m just happy they added this. Common user complaint - “it sat there with an error and I had no idea”

That’s true. Something’s better than nothing for sure.

They just need to hire a translator that takes the time to get the verbiage right.

@Yarbo-Forum Can you prod tech support to remote in and fix this? Yarbo dsat all night and I got no response to my ticket.

Yarbo may be stuck error means nothing to Yarbo techs, when I called in that I got that message when my Yarbo died, he admitted that error did not tell them anything useful, many things can cause it. My unit sent that message like 5 times in a row before it died, and it did not help the tech one bit on diagnosing what happened.

Ya and its frustrating dealing with tech support. They responded asking for more info this morning, and I responded within 5 minutes… no followup after that though and experience tells me they wont respond until early tomorrow morning.

Gotta say, not really impressed with tech support today. This is the response I got from Nick. I’ve already sent screenshots of the diagnose results, recorded an issue log, and given them the green light to remote in.

My response to Nick was, “if you can’t diagnose it then send a new Core”.

Dear Customer,

Thank you very much for your patience and your response.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Without a recorded video or screen recording, our ability to perform further remote diagnostics is quite limited. After completing all available troubleshooting steps at this stage, we recommend that you try starting a new task again in an open and unobstructed area.

During the test, please observe whether the GPS signal and other network connections of Yarbo are stable and functioning properly. If the issue still occurs when starting tasks in other areas, please let us know again.

Thank you very much for your cooperation and effort. We truly appreciate your support.

Best regards,

Nicholas

I would start a task and let it sit there and then try calling them to diagnose it while it’s in that state. If you can’t get through, screen record the app and video the Yarbo and its surroundings. That should give them all the evidence they need to perform further diagnosis.

Yeah I ended up sending a video. Couldn’t upload through the app as there’s a 20mb, so I sent a Google drive link. Hopefully they can access thay.
