Can the work areas be made see through on the app to allow for easier placement of circle or square No-Go Zones over objects in the satellite map view?
You should definitely not create no go zones solely based on the satellite view. It’s inaccurate scaling and usually not perfectly lined up. Drive the rover to the object. Use the front as the reference point for creating a templates no go zone. Drive around the template and make sure that the template fully covers the area. Alternatively, drive a NGZ around with the rover and then place a template over top of the mapped one to give an additional safety buffer.
Thank you for your suggestion! We’ve received similar requests in the past regarding the ability to adjust the opacity of mapped areas, and we’ll make sure to pass your interest in this feature along to our product team again.
As Bryan mentioned, relying solely on the satellite view to place No-Go Zones may lead to some accuracy issues, so it’s always best to verify placement with on-site checks when possible.
