Recently I noticed that rear camera image is not centered. Looks likethe image is only from right camera. Should it be like that? Why there are 2 cameras in back, if only one works?
Here the image with tow hitch.
Your observation is correct. The Smart Vision only displays video from one front camera and one rear camera.
when you think about it… That’s kinda how it has to be. Example- How would Smart Vision display a front image that combines the video from both front cameras?
The point of two front and rear cameras isn’t for our viewing pleasure. It’s for obstacle avoidance purposes.
Like @rgloverii said, the stereoscopic vision is only used by the machine itself. SmartVision only uses one of those two cameras. Obstacle avoidance should be using both of them.
Ok. Got it.
So yarbo should be capable of detecting obstacles at its rear (but it’s not doing it afaik)
and also with smart vision we can’t make sure that both (front) cameras work ok.
It does use it when vision based obstacle avoidance is enabled and it’s reversing, but there are some caveats.
I’d love access to the stereo camera feed. As an owner of an Apple Vision Pro it would be really cool to virtually be with my Yarbo when it’s working.
Same. That would be wicked.
That would be very cool and was an advertised feature that was put on the shelf for an indefinite amount of time. BUT, the app does work on the AVP. It’s not an immersive experience, but it works.
That would be really cool. Would give me another reason to use my Apple Vision Pro!
@bryan.wheeler - I’ve never tried using the Yarbo app on my AVP. Guess I’ll give it a shot!
Side note - Why am I not even surprised that we all own Vision Pros??!!
I hardly use mine at all, but I love it for watching movies and the immersive content. It’s an amazing first version product. I know it’s not a big consumer product, yet. Medical and commercial industries love it. If they can shrink it down into glasses (that’s the rumor) it’s going to be pretty crazy.
I use mine mostly for work. Having the huge Mac display is wonderful for multitasking.
And yes, I have never seen a better way to watch a movie. The visual quality is unparalleled. Sound quality can’t compete with my home theater though.
AirPods Pro with the AVP FTW.
