I’d like if there was a NTRIP access to the data center. I have the professional surveying tools to use NTRIP. I would want to create a tiff orthophoto (by drone) of my yard as a background image for the Yarbo app. I’m not sure if you can add a tiff orthophoto as background?
This would be really helpful if you further on provide a desktop editing tool for our maps, so we could add and modify features in our maps from the detailed orthophoto.
That’s nice. But I’d have to use the RTK information from the data center to make a background orthophoto that matches with the Yarbo map. So my main request is to get access to the correction data the base produces.
Fair, you can’t create an actual orthophoto, but you can simply create an aerial photo from your drone and stretch/resize it so that it aligns with your Yarbo zones.
That said, I understand the difference. Just trying to offer you what is actually achievable at this time.
Might work well enough to get an approximate visual idea of where in the yard the Yarbo is hanging out. But if the drone flies low enough to see a lot of details the accuracy won’t be any good.
Working as a surveying engineer and using drones for mapping at work, so if I’m going to do it for my Yarbo i want to have a perfect image.
And potentially, if one day they make a desktop tool for our maps, I think there could be more things that can be done with precise measurements from a RTK GNSS rover, instead of driving the Yarbo around to do all the mapping.
Hi there, thank you for sharing your suggestion and explaining your use case in detail. We understand why NTRIP access, orthophoto backgrounds, and desktop map editing would be useful for professional workflows.
At this time, however, we do not have plans to provide NTRIP access to the data center. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.
At the moment, this feature has been requested by only a small number of users, so it is currently considered a lower priority compared to other improvements. We truly appreciate you sharing your perspective, as feedback like this helps us better understand potential future needs.
