Documentation is always an after thought in a lot of industries and fields. It almost always lags behind reality. However, they do a good job keeping things up to date on the Wiki. Hopefully things like the different screws and other pertinent differences can be captured there.
Yep. The challenge for them will be on the support side.
Different ages of cores and modules will all have different hardware revisions. Good record keeping by serial number is necessary to make for quick troubleshooting and issue resolution.
