SAM run work area

I created work areas for M1 mower. I switched to SAM module to pull my aerator which worked reasonably well with manual control (x-box controller) or follow me mode. Question - what does starting an existing work area created with mower do with SAM? Does Yarbo just run the same line pattern as defined for the mower?

I haven’t tried this in a long time but I believe that is what it does. Would not recommend doing that with anything attached to the tow hitch.

Ok interesting…seems like in SAM mode, if we could define line spacing and turn radius we’d have the basic makings of tow mode. Probably not that simple but I’m thinking what could be done quick and dirty to get basic tow mode…follow me was painstakingly slow. I also tried waypoints but it doesn’t lend itself to creating points for parallel lines in batch.

I tried last winter. Yarbo drive with SAM only 2 perimeter laps on the area.

I’m using TOW mode on pathway and drive to a waypoint in next arer.

While we wait for the real TOW mode.

Hi there, we don’t recommend doing this, as there is a risk that whatever is being towed could run into obstacles or cause damage to the tow hitch. We will be introducing a dedicated Tow Mode in the future to better support this use case and meet your needs.

Yes, I know, but you’ve been promising that for a long time now.
