Sidewalk like function for mower ie Trail

I have some straight paths between flowerbeds, easily navigated because I made the flower beds no-go zones. Now the mower doesn’t even try to go between them to mow. Being able to run the mower through in an S pattern rather than making each one an out-and-back would be helpful. This could also be used for towing a roller or sweeper. Basicly the sidewalk function of the blower.

A “required pathway” basically right?

Hi there, thanks for sharing this—really helpful use case.

Would the “dead-end” feature help meet your needs in this scenario? Or is there something specific in your setup that it doesn’t fully address?

Happy to understand more so we can better evaluate this.

Dead end would reverse out. I believe that is counter to what they want. There have been a few requests to disable the reverse and have a dead end exit. However, opening up memory path to all modules without a trimmer installed would probably be better.

I have heard good things about the Memory Path feature. It sounds like it would be useful for a lot of folks (myself included) even without the trimmer.

It really would.

Perhaps Memory Path can replace Sidewalks. :joy:

merge the options together. Dead ending, reversing out, or 1 pass options, allow or disallow using as a regular pathway. I have an area I want to be able to drive in from one end only and reverse out for snow clearing and it merges over 2 areas but I do not want it using that same sidewalk path to be able to travel between those 2 areas:+1::+1: If I don’t do this the chute can’t aim correctly, currently I’m stuck ending the sidewalk ~3’ early and I have to manually shovel(booo, lol)

Backing out would unnecessarily increase traffic on a confined bit of grass and greatly increase the chance of the mower getting stuck between the raised gardens.

Reversing is needed for some areas still, I have Yarbo mow under the kids playset slide by running the mower underneath and backing out using the dead ends. I have a few tighter areas where it struggles to navigate autonomously I may have to do similar as well(I still manually do the trimming so have just been hitting those areas) but I would like to get Yarbo to do more of it autonomously if possible.

It’s definitely needed for the snow blower too for similar reasons

Thanks for sharing your experience and insights—this is really helpful. I’ll pass your feedback along to our product team for further consideration.

We truly appreciate you taking the time to share this!

Exactly, too bad these suggestions fall off the front page list. Had to figure out how to get all to review and vote. This is exactly the feature I am looking for!
