I have a couple areas that are hit and miss with GPS quality. It would be cool if I could manually take control, and have Yarbo resume at a spot further ahead rather than having it do a loop and try to resume where I took control. Could be set by a time interval or a distance, either skip ahead 5 seconds, or 5 feet. Would be beneficial to be able to keep the mower running in this scenario.
Thanks for sharing your idea and explaining your use case. We understand this could be helpful for users who experience GPS-related issues and need a smoother way to resume mowing after manual control.
I’ll continue tracking user interest in this feature. If more users share similar needs, I’ll help pass this feedback along to our product team for further consideration.
It is indeed possible even right now. You just need to take manual control once it stops because of weak GPS signal. You need to turn on the blades and drive it on the line it was about to take and drive it like that until it has GPS lock again. It will recognize the line you will drive with blades on and will not turn back once it is able to get good GPS lock. If you only are needing this little bit of distance as you mentioned it’s not that difficult task to take.
Also the PPVS under Yarbo Lab might help you out here. Just be conservative with how many feet or meters you will allow it to travel without GPS lock. It has helped me for sure. Just need to dial it in. In my case I don’t have that much trust in the software that I played around with different distances and finally found the minimum what worked for me.
It works even without the blades on, but for example if you have a track slippage due to a root or something, you have to line the core back up fairly precisely on the path line before hitting resume. It’s hit or miss if it works sometimes. Regardless, a button on the app for an in progress plan to jump ahead 0.X% would be ideal and cover most use cases.
