Snow-Auger knocking noise

Hi, i had my Yarbo S1 past a week now, it has already worked a lot clearing my driveway. but two days ago, a knocking/grinding sound could be heared, i took the unit indoor to let it melt overnight, checked the timing belt drive in the snow module, turning the auger by hand, wiggled it, checked every piece of it, but nothing sound/ felt loose. Already contacted the shop here in Norway to give them a heads up about a possible issue soon to occur. i just wanted to let you guys on the forum know, also the Yarbo team.

Is the impeller or auger bouncing a little? That’s what it sounds like. Could be some ice still causing an imbalance.

If you have any ongoing concerns about the noise or potential issue, please feel free to submit a support ticket. Our team will be happy to look into it further and help identify the root cause.

No ice at all, the unit was indoor overnight

I have already contacted the shop here in Norway, they told me to continue to use the module, ill guess they want me to run it normally until it breaks down, then ill hope for a new one in replacement.

I heard similar noise; the same weird sound (cranking sound) just before the timing belt was fully failed. I’d recommend that 1) check the anything inside impeller (rotor); 2) disconnect S1 (snowblower) unit and close check the timing belt is intact or not.

i just opened a ticket #164715

“Hi. I earlier posted a topic in the forum regarding that knocking noise in my snowblower module, and as i said in that post, i disconnected the module and did a close up inspection of the unit`s drive shaft assembly, timing belt, and also included a manual hand turn to check if there was any sort of chassis conflits with the auger and fan. Nothing to be found. Also i can assure all the ice was removed by keeping the unit indoor in heat for 12 hours

And yes! i am aware of that some modules had that known “timing belt issue” where the belt self-destructing

As i also stated in the topic, that i have already been in touch with the support department belonging to the Norwegian shop named : Crossbutikken.no, they told me to ontinue to use the machine as normal, and they also verified they opened a ticket and submitted it to you guys in Yarbo company, the support manager told that Yarbo will contact me in a short time, but so far i havent heard back from you guys. So right now im just curious if we speak about some sort of replacement, or any other type of action to be performed.“

I had this same noise and opened a ticket too but we never got to the bottom of it as the impeller broke so the unit was replaced. Sounds like a dishwasher or a washing machine. Keep us posted on your journey.
