Created a plan of sidewalks to clean deeper snow for Yarbo to zero turn it when the snow gets deeper or drifts. I really wish slope mode could be tweaked/adapted to do something like this. It worked nearly perfectly until the 4th/last sidewalk…I have no idea what the heck it was doing…at least it should still be able to finish even with those crazy moves:sweat_smile:![]()

Hi there! Thanks for sharing this — that behavior definitely isn’t expected.
What you’re seeing is abnormal behavior, and it will likely require further investigation by our support team to determine the root cause. We’d recommend reaching out to support and including any relevant details, as that will help the team diagnose the issue more efficiently.
We appreciate you taking the time to report this, and we’ll work with you to get it sorted out.
Added another video from this morning…it ran the plan differently this time:thinking:
, also emailed support
Support asked me to re-run the plan with the record issue toggle on, it got ~67% through then decided to drive backwards about 10’ the wrong direction, out of the cleared snow areas and get stuck:melting_face:![]()
Got the chute waving…. “Hey a little help over here please.”
Why is it, that after watching your videos, I need to put on a sweater?
Maybe watch them with your shirt on? ![]()
So the area near the dock I had got drifted in and Yarbo can’t make the perimeter pass(waiting for slope mode
). But setting the speed on slowest and running the “deep undock plan” worked:+1:

Current suggestion…
Based on our review, it appears that the sidewalk paths may be overlapping, which can cause Yarbo to become confused during execution. This can lead to behaviors such as reversing down the sidewalk, attempting zero turns despite the setting being disabled, or marking the plan as completed prematurely.
To help resolve this, we kindly recommend deleting the existing sidewalk paths and instead allowing Yarbo to operate in that area as a Work Area. This approach typically provides more consistent navigation and helps prevent the behaviors you’re experiencing.
And my reply:
The problem with the work plans is that they insist on using zero turns, often without raising the bucket, this causes Yarbo to frequently get stuck: https://photos.app.goo.gl/w7psxnLGd5K8JKSk9
This is what I need it to do: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNq-Cydohk6qgcGUPzmSrnC-TATfcp9JmzunFpCUZ5bE7zQQAb5gl8P8OuM8sSvXg/photo/AF1QipOJkibzernOdnONiOEQesT66MeMiFeFbuWKFO8z?key=ZUg1VmVid3FtZDlmOVlkN0x0dW11MzRMSDFWdHh3
At one point it was recommended for the Lawn mower to have the start points of the dead ends overlap to reduce the zero turning. Instead of overlapping the sidewalks to clear all of the snow, can I still have the start points overlap onto the first sidewalk pass? That might remove enough snow so it won’t get stuck turning around for now.
I have some areas set up to run in slope mode but if the corner where the first pass is made isn’t clear Yarbo will often get stuck trying to turn around. https://photos.app.goo.gl/mqEhU5ivDpP3UEg49 If the next software update can address that issue that might help.
Are dead ends not supposed to overlap for the mower? Kinda hard not to leave uncut grass in a tight area if so?
This doesn’t make sense to me as a solution.
Sidewalk paths are supposed to overlap to accommodate scenarios like a literal sidewalk that is 36” wide. You would need two sidewalk paths that overlap to clear it.
On a single sidewalk I still can’t get my Yarbo after the zero turn at the end of the sidewalk to return within boundary of the side walk. Ran a tread or so outside the mapped sidewalk sucked up some rocks and 2 shear pins on my replacement S1. Poof.
Side by side sidewalks just don’t work in confined spaces. I know they have spacing parameters but I don’t think real life sidewalks are wide enough to accommodate those spacing requirements for success.
I’m 0-2025&2026 so far running sidewalks and Yarbo staying within its mapped sidewalk boundary or completing the sidewalk task correctly-not running backwards, goofing on a zero turn, crossing over into another parallel sidewalk and just continuing on, etc.
Exactly! Some of the areas I mapped out as an area with slope mode but those have a worse track record getting stuck than the sidewalks. Sounds like the new release might be soon ![]()

You mean the December release? It’s the 17th of January. I suspect we’ll see a late January release and no December release.
probably not until February if we’re lucky.
@Kolbe are you part of the PPP program? ![]()
no I’m not.
but yarbo isn’t the fastest and all the time horizons I’ve been given to date have all been exceeded.
So I’m done hoping for anything.
So just help others not to be disappointed ![]()
still waiting for my October delivery. ![]()
Fingers crossed we’ll see a release soon.
When I was talking about the next release to the guys at CES, I was basically told they found some issues in the release and were working towards a new release candidate in the next week or two for internal testing.
So now we’re looking at March…. ![]()
I certainly hope sooner than that! Would be nice to get some snowblower issues resolved before it’s time to swap back to the mowing module!
@bryan.wheeler : What’s your intuition tell you?
It will be soon I think.
