I think you need to tighten them more. Mine tighten almost to the end.
I did tighten them as much as possible. The screw just doesn’t go in any further.
I would say I saw the same thing; I turned the tensioners all the way till they stopped and the snow tracks seem to have more play than the grass tracks.
Ok so it might be normal.
I would not say mine were looser after I tightened them. It did need more travel in the slot to get them tight. I am new to Yarbo though.
Snow tracks are looser than mower tracks, and are very likely to fall off if you mow with them (ask me how I know) but even then your picture looks entirely too loose. Maybe something is caught preventing the nut from going far enough, or maybe the tracks have a defect, or maybe they’re fine and just need to break in a bit.
That does not look normal to me. I suggest you check again to see why you are unable to tighten them further.
make sure you remove the little set screw as well as loosen the bolt. You need to take the set screw all the way out, the bolt ca just be loosened.
This isn’t normal. Open a ticket. I’ve seen a couple of people post this over in FB and seems like a few found some hardware store work arounds. Not exactly sure what they used but it was something to extend that tensioner if I recall correctly. Hopefully support can steer you in the right direction there.
Thank you all for guiding me. I will open a ticket
Thanks, Bryan! I opened a ticket, but I will see if I can fix it per your recommendation.
Hey Bryan,
@bryan.wheeler Do you happen to know what the final solution was? And what caused this issue?
I am confused since my mowing tracks were just fine. Are the Snow Tracks a little larger?
Just trying to understand the issue.
I don’t believe that’s been determined yet. Hopefully support or @Yarbo-Forum has a better idea for you.
I would guess it would have to be out of spec tracks.
Hi there, thanks for reaching out.
What you’re describing does seem unusual and will require further investigation from our field service engineer. I’ve checked your support ticket in our system, and it has already been escalated for review. We truly appreciate your patience while we work toward a proper conclusion.
Thank you Yarbo-Forum
So @bryan.wheeler I used your suggestion and replaced the bolt with a 70mm one. It does the job and Little Pete (as the neighbors call him, I am big Pete
) is clearing snow. It is not perfect although, the tracks are still a little to large.
They will send me new tracks but I would like to understand what is going on. I find it strange that both tracks (they are both to big) would have the same bad manufacturing. Is it really the tracks that are faulty or is it something with the core, although my summer tracks are the right sizes.
Any clarification is welcome.
I asked also support to clarify but no answer yet.
