The right side track on my Yarbo (Bob) is having some problems. I’ll create a ticket (#146636), but curious if anybody has had similar issues.
I found Bob had stopped in the middle of the driveway in the middle of a plan. The auger was still spnning, but the tracks had stopped. I expected it to pause with a track slipping warning, but the auger just kept spinning. I took manual control, the auger stopped, I drove it forward and backward a bit. But I noticed that the right track was a bit jerky when moving forward. I resumed the plan, and off it went, but the right track is still behaving poorly.
- Under manual control, the right track is running slower than the left side when driving straight forward. The Yarbo always veers off to the right when I am manually controlling it straight with the app controller, or when it is trying to follow a straight path on the map.
- Sometimes the right track stops completely when hitting resistance. For example, on slippery ground and plowing into deep snow, the left track will continue to spin, while the right track simply stops.
Check that there isn’t any play in the track wheel and it’s getting stuck on the metal supports or rubbing it. Look for anything wedged in there. If all is clear and there isn’t much play in the wheel, it sounds like it might be something software or electrical. Support should be able to run some tests to confirm this. But they will ask for all of the above first. I’d get ahead of that and attach video/photos/etc to the ticket.

Well, I’m back to the house and checked things out a bit more today. After a thorough defrosting, removing the tracks, and giving it a quick test with the drive wheels off the ground, it does not look.good. The left motor drives as expected, the right motor not at all.
Ticket has been updated, looking forward to a response before we’re buried in snow!
