Snow tracks usage for mowing?

Another clip. Seems to be unable to adjust the mower.

It almost looks like the mower module is hung up on something. What is your blade height set at. Is there a stump or object holding the mower still like an anchor? Is there something protruding down under the mower like a broken disk or other debris?

Can you run the core without the mower module through a mowing routine? Let’s rule out external factors like the mower module.

Could you snip a google maps topographic map of the area so we can see incline lines?

What is your mower module gap setting? Tight or loose? I agree with @PropellerHead, it does seem like it’s getting caught on something. Maybe cutting too low?

Blade height is set to 4". I’m using blades, not disks. I’m beginning to think it is the soil. The winery that leased the acerage used a disc-er on the area multiple times per year so the ground is soft with large clumps. There aren’t any stumps or anything like that in the areas being mowed and it happens in multiple areas. The soil is soft and wet.

Setting is tight.

I’d be happy to, but can’t figure out how to get the data. When I select topo information it just displays as a blue background with no data.

My first initial thought was to add something like crusher run or something in those spots but my buddy mentioned that might not be good for the grapes. Not sure if something like that could be useful in those wet spots.

Looks very gentle in slope based on your county’s GIS mapping service.

The slope seems to be 15% (30ft increase in altitude over 200ft.) Used iPhone compass program to get altitude and google maps for the distance. Not sure if it matters, when the mower got stuck it was going down hill.

The grape vines aren’t really important. We had the ground leased to a winery and they cancelled the lease. We don’t have any equipment (nor the energy or physical stamina) to maintain them. Just trying to keep the grass down while we decide next steps, which will probably be to pull them all out.

Understood, then you may want to consider putting something more stable soil wise or drainage wise in those wet spots. At least fill it back in and compact it where it’s been digging/slipping.

In that case, add some sand and compost, then roll the whole area. Then Yarbo should do fine.

I’ve been running the mower around the periphery of the vineyard successfully. The only time it seems to get stuck is between the rows. Setup a no-go zone around all the grapes. I’ll change that once they have been removed and I have a pasture rather than a vineyard.
