Snowblow Scheduling - what am I missing?

My first guess would be a token expired or their dev license expired. Just my guess.

Oh I forgot to mention that I had turned the weather notifications back on a few days ago, but got zero notifications about all the snow we received yesterday. Nothing.

@w0ger Thanks for opening ticket. Bellwether day. My new battery also arrived today - this yarbo might be like the song since they are not replacing - ā€œbuilding it one piece at a timeā€ but it did cost me more than a dime.

FYI - I just set a manual schedule and the unit kicked off. Have started getting several auto alerts again but have not enabled to test.

Does anyone know the recommended procedure for Yarbo to initiate the top-listed snow work plan automatically? I have enabled both

  • ā€œSnowfall Notificationsā€
  • ā€œAutomatically Schedulesā€

within BOTH the Manual Schedule & Auto Schedule pages, but Yarbo has yet to automatically dispatch to begin the 1st listed work plan without manual intervention.

Is a timed schedule also required in addition to these two features being enabled in order to automatically initiate the work plan upon snowfall? If so, how to allow for 24/7 scheduling? The app will not retain the selected (GMT-06:00) Central Standard Time option after saving {unresolved Ticket submitted regarding time zone issue back in May 2024}.

Thanks!

The response i got from yarbo is that automatic scheduling is not available.

Unreal. Maybe they could turn of the Alerts then so I can stop getting spammed with alerts every hour or two when we do not have snow forecasted in our area.

Yeah that should definitely have been pushed as a notification in the app or edit to that page in the app…

Yeah, i’ve had snowfall notifications enabled to see when it thinks it should do it, but automatic scheduling off since i don’t want to wake up the neighbors if it starts in the middle of the night.

But the last 3 days (at least, that’s how far back my phone shows the notification history) it’s sent me two notifications every hour, while it has not been snowing at all, and the forecast does not show any snowing either. (Probable because it may be too cold for it to snow right now, with minus 20-25 degrees celsius outside).

Edit: ok there has been maybe 4mm of snow in those days.

Thank you for sharing the details and screenshots. There’s no issue with how you’ve configured your current settings—both Snowfall Notifications and Automatically Schedules are enabled correctly.

That said, we acknowledge that there are inaccuracies with the auto-schedule feature at the moment, and we’re sorry for the confusion this has caused. Our team is actively working on improvements to provide a more reliable automatic scheduling experience.

For now, we recommend continuing to use a manual schedule when you notice snowfall in the upcoming period. This will ensure the work plan runs as expected until the auto-schedule feature is fully refined.

Thank you for your understanding and patience while we work on this.
