Automatic schedule with snow

I set up 3 schedules, marked snow notification and automatic schedule however Yarbo started w/o notifying me, and w/o snow. What is wrong? https://photos.app.goo.gl/Kr8PeLxBJoBSvqd37

Hi there, could you please share a bit more information about the issue? I’m not completely sure I understand the situation from the description alone. Do you mean that Yarbo started a work plan without notifying you?

There might be some confusion between the manual schedule and the auto schedule. If you set a manual schedule, Yarbo will automatically go out at the scheduled time to complete the work plan you defined — regardless of whether there is snow.

For the snowfall notification and automatic schedule features:
The system will notify you about 6 hours before the expected snowfall (based on the weather forecast), and it will automatically create a schedule for you under the “Auto Schedule” section.

I hope this helps clarify things. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, please feel free to let me know and I’ll be happy to assist further.

So let me try to explain how I understand it now:

  1. case: manual schedule, regardless of rain or shine: Yarbo plows snow even on dry roads. That is an option, IMO rather not so useful to run Yarbo over dry sidewalks. In a sense Yarbo overrides anything else with these manual schedules? This scenario would work best with the lawn mower module?

  2. case: wait until it snows indeed. In that case I would not switch on the manual schedule(s), but would switch on automatic schedules. In that case Yarbo would receive a snow warning, and pulls already established plans into the list of automatic schedules, from which I would chose the one(s) to execute. So far right? In that case I would not get any warning, but would have to look out myself for expected snowfall? Without snow fall warning the automatic schedule list would be empty?

  3. case: I set up automatic schedule by clicking on the switch, but now I also click on the “notification” button. Now with snowfall warning Yarbo pulls established plans into the automatic schedule list, and issues the notification for me “heads up, snow is coming”, so that I am aware I should choose the plans to be executed from the now established automatic schedule list?

The list of automatic schedule for me to choose from only appears with snow fall expected, otherwise this list is empty, is that correct?

So that means that I ALWAYS have to activate the snow plow/blow action with expected snow fall, there is no completely automatic snow blow activity with snowfall?

And will the automatic schedule list of pulled in plans automatically be emptied again after end of snowfall, or after execution of the chosen plan(s)?

automatic currently only executes the first work plan in the list, just as an FYI. Here is some more information on the notifications and automatic scheduling

Hi Matthias, at the moment, the auto-schedule feature will automatically execute the first work plan by default, and this behavior cannot be adjusted yet. We’re planning to add the ability to choose specific work plans in a future update.

If you enable both “Snowfall Notification” and “Automatically Schedules,” Yarbo will rely on the weather API to create schedules for you automatically. When snowfall is detected, a task will appear in the Auto Schedule section about 6 hours before the expected snow, and Yarbo will execute it without requiring you to manually select a plan.

For now, you may occasionally notice that auto-scheduling does not trigger even when it snows. This is due to occasional inaccuracies in the weather API. You can also refer to the articles Bryan shared earlier for more details about how this feature works.
