Now that we have a new virtual joystick with the ability to go straight, I wanted to correct the boundaries of my map so they follow a straight line. Unfortunately the app just quits repeatedly in Edit mode as soon as I move the rover to start editing. I have tried at least 10 times in a row, also while the new PPVS feature is turned off and with a good GPS. In all cases the app disappears from the screen, and when I bring it back up it displays the start page to select a Yarbo.
This is on Android 16 on Pixel 10 Pro XL.
Am I the only one with this bug? Can others confirm if they still have the ability to edit maps in the latest app/firmware?
Hi Frederic, I’ve checked with our FSE team, and it seems we haven’t seen similar cases reported before. We kindly ask you to submit a support ticket for this issue so our support team can investigate it further.
I was able to reproduce the problem only on my Pixel, both a Samsung phone and tablet worked as expected.
Based on this, I closed the Yarbo app on my Google Pixel, changed the Android OS display size, restarted the app and it worked. The app no longer closed when tapping on the joystick to move Yarbo. I also later set my display size back to my previous setting and the Yarbo app still works for maps editing.
There must be a function in the Yarbo app that reads the device display settings and stores it to adjust the app functionality. I suspect that’s where the bug was.
Speaking of display size, the Yarbo app looks terrible on my Samsung Tab S8 tablet. All the buttons are huge and take up a third on the screen. Is there a way to force it to use a higher resolution so it looks at least as good as on a phone?
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for sharing the detailed steps. I’ve passed this issue along to our team, and we’ll run tests based on the information you provided.
