Stopped (not paused) Work plans

Hey you lot.

I have just set up my second Yarbo.

Just recently I started a “do everything" job plan, and that is all fine a good. My problem is that part way through it started to rain and the Scutter (Yarbo) returned to the DS. In the mean time I decided to try and mess with a few settings and killed the work plan loosing all work accomplished to that point.

I would like to be able to reload that plan with its routing (as long as the layout hasn’t changed) and previously completed work and continue with it.

If the task didn’t complete, you can start it again at the percentage it stopped at. Since it didn’t complete, the pattern shouldn’t rotate. It only rotates upon successful 100% completion.

Hi there, thanks for sharing your suggestion. If more users share the same interest, I’ll help pass this to our product team for consideration.

Seems like work plan history would be a great place to add this. Add a button to resume to that screen on any incomplete work plan history entry and Bob’s your uncle.

That would be nice. And another thing I wish I could do right now in the spring when some areas are taller than others I wish if it’s running a plan and it gets to an area that’s not tall enough to be cutting much I could pause and slide my % forward and bit to make that skip and restart

Or point on the map where you want it to go back to

When I read this I thought “that’s exactly what I want Waypoints to do! Fully automatic, while avoiding obstacles, no go zones, and such.

I am aware of that function but you never get it to start where it left off.

Just need a finish this plan button. No messing around trying to figure out at what point you were at.

Don’t disagree. Would be ideal if you could go into work history and tap an incomplete plan and have it bring it back up to start it again. They are at least tracking the percentage of completion history there in the new app and firmware. So that’s a start.

As a side note, I have the main pathway to my front work areas that passes through a gate. Since I switched back to mowing from snow blowing Yarbo get stuck on that gate 100% of the time. An “obstacle”. I have a no-vision zone there and I’m not really concerned about the obstacle, the biggest PITA is that the app says it’s paused but there is NO way to resume it short of the home assistant integration. I know it’s truly paused and the “activity” is an auto generated plan to return to charge. The app doesn’t provide a way of restarting that auto generated plan. If I enter the Yarbo app, choose my Yarbo, all I see is the Start a plan button, enter my yard etc. The small map at the bottom that usually shows Yarbo’s position and the plan is not present. Yet if I drive Yarbo through SmartVision to get him through the gate, I can go to the Home assistant integration and this the resume button and Yarbo happily continues to the charger and charges.

That is my observation. Anyone else seeing this sort of thing?

wonder if that’s a mismatch with the new app and old firmware?

Was previous firmware and app. App updated last night but firmware is still old version. I’m sure I’ll change after the update but I’ll wait and see.

Side note, no vision zone is ignored for the obstacle avoidance on pathways. Disabling it is the only way to get it to stop from false positives. However, in older firmwares it would still override. I believe it’s resolved in the latest firmware.

I’ve been getting module lifted errors too. That’s new this mowing season. I saw the setting in the app, but want to wait for the updated firmware before jumping to contusions.

Some screenshots of the issue:

The notification (Thanks for that Yarbo. Without it Yarbo would be sitting waiting for me to notice)

Opened the app:

Plan paused reason:

Smartvision View:

This pathway worked fine for the snow blower. Snow blower DID enter the pathway from the other side.

Used Smart Vision to drive through the gate:

Looking for a way to restart the plan:

Restart the app:

Still no way to restart it:

Screen capture of the plan being restarted via the Home Assistant integration:

Could probably just as easily just hit the recharge button on the app to form a new plan to get back to the charging station.

Mine was turned back on at the beginning of this mowing season. I’m guessing the winter firmware updates flipped it back on. This happened in an update last summer too.

Yes rollover and lift detection were defaulted to on a few firmwares ago. It does seem to retain the setting after disabling though.
