Straighten mowing patterns

Hard to describe in words but I’ll try:
When Yarbo mows around an object/no-go it curves around it as it should (perhaps with too many short movements). The next pass, it follows the same curve around the object even though the object isn’t in its way anymore. It would be nice to have Yarbo straighten this part of the pattern by mowing straight even though you are effectively mowing that area twice. Think about how someone would mow using a walk-behind mower.

There was a post recently (around Jul 5 or 6) where someone asked for different behavior around No-go Zones. Right now the mower will pick one side and do all the zigzags there, then it’ll go over to the other side and do all the zigzags. I believe the OP was asking why the rover didn’t go around the No-go Zone and just continue mowing.

IIRC there was a response from Yarbo saying that something’s in the works. I did a quick search but couldn’t find it - could be on FB, don’t recall.

Then I heard on a livestream that a new mowing pattern is in test, but Ryan and Kathy were very tight-lipped about it. Darn! So could the new pattern be something to make No-go Zone navigation more efficient? Or maybe the elimination of the “extra line that cuts across everything after you’re done mowing”? Dunno. We’ll see.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about route optimization near No-Go Zones. This feature would require us to optimize the route planning logic in those areas, and I will pass this to our product team if more users are interested in it.
