Sometimes it snows several inches and sometimes there’s a light dusting that melts as soon as it touches the ground. So:
- The auto schedules should be able to use that information to determine how fast to go and how powerful to be… maybe have the settings be “slow and quiet” to “balanced” to “loud and fast”… And have it override the area settings (or just replace them if the first part of #2 can be done). Then the snow blower can run quiet at night and loud in the middle of the day.
- Yarbo should determine if it should go slower (if it’s in quiet mode) or turn up the auger (if it’s in loud mode) if the auger is working harder than normal… and not turn on the auger if there isn’t any snow. I don’t know why I’m setting how fast the auger should be by area. If this is too hard to do, then the snow areas should have an “expected amount of snow” setting where you can say “this area gets [less / regular / more / most] the usual amount of snow” (less since wind might just blow snow away from there, most since the city plow might add snow) and it would use that information to determine if it should go slower and/or turn up the auger.
- The snow areas should have a setting so they’re extra vigilant about potential snow plows and will vacate the area if it seems like one’s coming… Then go back and continue when it has passed.
- The manual schedules should be able to override the settings of the areas and be quiet to fast like #1.
- The auto schedule should not run if it snows but there is no snow on the ground. It’d go around and see if there’s snow before turning on the auger and running.
