Auger speed as a part of working preferences

Regarding snowblower use in different weather conditions are moving speed, snow intake effect and auger speed the needed adjustments in the settings. For those moving speed and snow intake effect is set in one place, working preferences. Auger speed should be set for each area, sidewalk and pathway separately. For examply in my small yard that mean two to four areas and sidewalks plus all pathways connecting those. To make process easier, could the auger speed to be moved as part of to working preferences? Then you could set all important settings once in one place when the snow changes from dry powder towards slush.

But if you move the auger speed to the working preferences, then you could not set an auger speed per area, correct? I like being able to pin an auger speed to an area. To me it makes sense the way that it is…

By the end of the mowing season, I may feel the same way about the mower, that some areas I might like to mow fast and other areas. I might like to mow slowly. But I can’t do that currently because the speed is set in the working preferences.

We really need both. For example, when it’s the middle of the day and there is a ton of slushy snow, I want to crank it to Turbo for all areas. On the other hand, I normally want areas/pathways next to mine and my neighbors house to be a bit quiter or more gentle.

completely agree. Global option in working preferences but you can choose in the area settings for ā€œGlobal Working Preferencesā€ or set a specific and desired local area setting.

Thank you for your suggestion! We’ve shared it with our R&D team for review. We’ve also noticed that some users prefer the current setup, where the auger speed is adjusted individually for each area. With this in mind, we’re considering offering both options: allowing the auger speed to be adjusted for each area and also incorporating it into the working preferences to better meet everyone’s needs. Thanks again for your valuable feedback!

I’ve already found (being in Texas) that we need the ability to set mowing speed based on area. In my situation I’d like the frontyard area to be able to be set to the ā€˜Slowest’ speed but the backyard to be set to something else like ā€˜Medium’. My backyard is more like a field so I’d like to be able to set the speed to be quicker because I don’t need it to be as precise in this situation.
