This is why Yarbo mower heights need to be lower than a conventional mower

I believe you need to set the Yarbo lower to do an adequate job of mowing your lawn compared to the height you would mow with your conventional mower. Most modern conventional mowers have high vacuum decks and draw the blades of grass up straight before it slices them off. Yarbo is not a high vacuum deck and can not draw the blades of grass up before they are cut. Therefore you must start adjusting your height down from where you would mow with a conventional mower

to get the quality of cut that this mower can deliver.

I was just noticing that too on my field. My big Kubota at 3 inches cuts a lot more grass than the Yarbo at 2.8 inches…and I was thinking that the Yarbo sort of skates along the top of the grass on those big treads, where the tractor at 1.5 tons settles into the grass and rides lower. But since you mention it, the big mower does have the big suction blades, so maybe there is that too!!
Thanks for putting that out there!

How are you getting it to mow in a conture around the sides like that? I seem to only be able to go in straight lines…

When choosing spiral pattern Yarbo follows the boundaries.

Well that seems easy, I thought tried that setting it up but maybe the only place I tried it only had straight sides, will give it a shot. Thank you much.

Yep that’s the spiral pattern. I like it, it’s how I mowed with the Kubota…

This is good information and thanks for sharing. I realized real quick after the first few runs that it had to be set lower than what I originally thought to get a good cut.
