Time for another battery calibration…

Well, it’s been about a year since the last time my battery stopped charging to 100%. So I guess Yarbo decided that today is the day to repeat the problem.

This morning, Yarbo claimed the battery was only at 84%, and wouldn’t charge any further all day long.

So, I guess it’s time for me to do the 4 hour battery disconnect. I’ll disconnect it overnight, and hopefully tomorrow morning Yarbo will be back to normal.

Sure would be nice if they would properly fix this longstanding issue.

Leave it and submit a ticket. There is a fix for this now.

I was just going to say, @Yarbo-Forum stated there is a fix so we can stop pulling the battery for 4 hours. Still wish they would share with us what they found.

To be honest, I forgot they have a fix for it.

Ok. I’ll give them a chance to fix it. We’re in another little drought, so my Yarbo won’t be cutting grass for the next few days.

Will be interesting to see what happens.

Keep us filled in how it goes, you are a pioneer now…

Ticket #228033 opened.

Fingers crossed!

Hi there, I’ve checked your ticket #228033 and have helped escalate it to our FSE team for further assistance.

Please kindly allow some time for our FSE team to review your case and get back to you. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We’ll continue following up to help get this issue resolved.

My battery wouldn’t charge over 60%, just had a visit by the FSE team. They supposedly updated the battery firmware. After they were done, instructed to do the 4hr battery calibration. Made no difference, still only charges to 60%. Apparently the fix isn’t working.

Maybe it’s just a bad battery then

I got an email from Support this morning asking me to do the 4 hour thing. We’ll see what happens when I get home later this evening.

So question is, are they doing anything, or just having people do the 4 hour disconnect?

Well, after the 4 hour battery disconnect, i regret to say that the battery is still not fully charging. It’s currently stuck at 82%.

I wonder what Yarbo Support will say. I hope they don’t ask me for any videos…

Oh you are doing many many videos. If I had to send pics of my trimmer attached to the core, you have got a lot more to make content with. :joy:

Hi there, I’m really sorry to hear that the battery issue has still not been resolved after the firmware update and calibration process.

I’ve asked the FSE responsible for your case to further investigate the issue and review the next steps to help identify the root cause and get this resolved as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We’ll keep you updated on the progress.

Hi there, the 4-hour battery disconnect and reset is the initial troubleshooting step recommended by our first-level support team. Your ticket is still waiting for the FSE team to review and investigate further.

I’ve already followed up with the FSE team and asked them to prioritize reviewing your case and proceed with the next steps as soon as possible.

Thank you. I appreciate the clarity on the diagnostic process.

I’ll watch for an update from the FSE. Fortunately I won’t need to use Yarbo for the next few days due to an ongoing drought here in Michigan.

Here’s an update to my battery situation…

The normal unplug battery for 4 hours fix didn’t resolve the issue with my battery.

Yarbo support remoted in and tried to apply a firmware update to the battery, but they said the battery was too old to receive the firmware update.

As a result, they sent out a new replacement battery. The new battery is working perfectly, and I’m back in business!!

A big THANK YOU to Yarbo Support and @Yarbo-Forum for the swift resolution to this. It’s important to highlight when things go right, and this was a very streamlined and turnkey support experience. Zero complaints.

That is interesting. I was having an issue with my battery and did all the troubleshooting. It failed so they sent me a “new” battery. I am having the same problem with the “new” battery. I wonder if they just sent me a refurbished battery. Now they are requesting turning off the wireless charging.

I am going to switch the battery with my other Yarbo to see if it is a Yarbo core issue. This core was a replacement due to a GPS issue with the prior. But this replacement I have been having network connection issues constantly and the battery issue. I wonder if the battery is not the issue but a defective core. I hate having to doing all the “detective work” and wish they would take it back to fix or replace. I am busy surgeon (will be working until after 10 pm tonight) and I am tired of all this troubleshooting.

We have just completed another remote diagnosis of your Yarbo. Our latest findings are as follows:

1.The battery firmware is already up to date.

2.During charging, the battery reached approximately 90% and then stopped charging.

3.We then manually turned the wireless charging function off and back on.

4.After restarting wireless charging, the charging current returned to normal, and the battery immediately resumed charging.

5.Based on the current charging behavior, the battery is expected to continue charging and reach 100% normally.

At this point, the battery itself appears to be functioning normally, and the issue seems to be related to the wireless charging process not continuing properly after reaching a certain charge level.

If you encounter the same situation again in the future, please try manually turning off the wireless charging function and then turning it back on. This can help restore the charging current and allow the battery to continue charging.

Keep us posted.

That’s an interesting problem. It does sound like an issue with the core versus the battery itself. I hope the FSE are able to figure it out soon for you.

In the mean time, if it was me, I’d be doing my own diagnostics as you suggested.
