Help, I need help. Last year (summer time) it took some time to configure properly my Yarbo with the right zone and the right path. But, at the end, everything was really fine. But this year.. it’s quite a mess. I don’t what happens but my yarbo is not able to compete a zone. It is always a ton a messages about collisions, and “Yarbo bypasses an obtacle”… but there is not obtstacle.!!! I have even signs of collision in area where the Yarbo did not goes yet.. It is spinning on itself, It is making “8” design.. grrr
Is someone has any idea about the problem? What should I do? I would really appreciate to get my last summer running yarbo..
You may have a failed bumper as B-Mod mentioned. You can follow this article to see if that helps clear up the issue and confirm it. I’d get a ticket opened either way.
Hi there, could you please submit a support ticket regarding this issue so our team can further investigate?
As our community members mentioned, the collision issue may be related to a bumper issue. You can follow the troubleshooting steps in the above article to perform an initial check.
For the false obstacle detection, it may be caused by false vision detection issues. You can try switching the obstacle avoidance mode to Gentle Contact to see if it improves the situation. Please remember to set No-Go Zones for any areas or objects you want to protect when using Gentle Contact mode to avoid potential damage.
Please keep us updated with your results, and we’ll continue to help troubleshoot this with you.
Ok, I took few time to perform different tests. I changed different parameters one by one with always the same result. At the end, I finally change the one for “Gentle contact” and bingo…my Yarbo is back. It works. However, I don’t understand why with the “recommended “ option the behaviour is so strange. During my tests I observed that it was creating red spot, like collision, many many red spots. And often not even closed to my Yarbo. At the end, all those red spots forms a kind of a huge no go zone…. Strange… really strange. Anyway… it’s work now. Thank for the clue about the Gentle contact
The red is a point cloud detection from vision. Sounds like it was falsely detecting obstacles. If the grass is taller, tall weeds, etc, then this can lead to the false detections. Gentle contact (bumper only) will let it get that grass cut down. If you have it cut and are routinely cutting afterwards, you may be able to try vision again and see if it improves for you.
I’m having similar problems today. Turned off border obstacle detection for gentle contact only. It was still “detecting” obstacles outside the area boundary.
Hi there! If you’re using Gentle Contact with both the ultrasonic sensors and Boundary Obstacle Avoidance disabled, Yarbo shouldn’t be detecting obstacles outside the boundary. Could you please submit a support ticket for this so our team can take a closer look at what’s happening?
