track slipping off core during mowing operation

Has anyone had a situation that the track slipped on the back wheel? Yesterday during normal operation the track on the left slipped off the back wheel (not the servo power wheel) and went inward toward the core. I had to loosen the nut, set bolt, then the allen keep set bolt to move the wheel inward enough to pull the track back on track. anyone else run into this issue with track slipping off during normal operation?

There were some posts on one of the sites in the past where the track coming off was due to lack of grease. Not sure if that is what happened here but Yarbo has a video about it here: https://support.yarbo.com/portal/en/kb/articles/2024-how-to-apply-track-grease

This can happen due to lack of grease or an excess or slippage with something that pushes the track off as it’s heating up. The track grease can help prevent this.

How often should one apply grease? I applied it the other day and no issue since but curious on how often apply grease. Had most issue of tracks slipping during wet (muddy) season.

About every 2 weeks when in use is recommended or when the track noise changes. You generally will hear more pops and thumps when it’s time. The grease helps the nubs on the track slide into the cog of the track wheel more easily and quietly.

Hard to do when the grease has been on order since May 08. I do see it has shipped now. So that’s a plus.

I have bought some automotive “elbow grease” from local autoparts store. Explained them what I will use it for and they did found me just right item from their store. I’m applying it with 1cm wide small paintbrush and it works well

Interesting, @merkswood. Can you tell us what they recommended to you?

Here are Yarbo’s track grease recommendations (this is for the 2023 model, but it should be the same): https://support.yarbo.com/portal/en/kb/articles/grease-lubrication-purchase-guideline

How does your grease compare? I think the big thing is a silicone base which is suitable for rubbers and plastics. It’ll need stickiness, so it won’t wash off, but you also don’t want it attracting dust/dirt. So whatever Yarbo chose, they did it for a reason.

They did give me some sticky grease what is used inside the rubber mounts off steering rack and steering arms for the older cars. Main thing is that it works.
