Trimmer cover loose?

This feels like a weird one, but has anyone else who has the string trimmer and has been using it, had the yellow cover on the main body come off???

This has happened 4-5 times now… And on the previous time it happened, I noticed that the clip “feet” in the upper half of the image below were smashed. I bent them back straight, but it doesn’t look like it helped…

I managed to get it snapped back on, but I’m kind of tired of having to search the yard for where it came off… Not to mention the holes where those tabs lock in appear to go right inside the housing…

And just in case I really do lose it, how would I go about getting a replacement?

Yes, had that happen if it bumps something with it. Snaps right back on. If you lose it, just submit a ticket.

Unfortunately.

Maybe use a couple SMALL dots of silicone after cleaning and drying the area. There are no screws or service access areas under the cover. It looks like just a trim piece.

That’s what I would do. Just give it a small dab of caulk. That’ll do it!

I imagine it removes for a reason, but if not. Plastic weld it is!
