Anyone else having problems with a “loose cable” on the trimmer? I’ve checked the connection and rebooted the rover but it keeps occurring.
There is a cable inside the arm of the trimmer itself. Check and make sure that plug is tight. If so, I’d submit a ticket. Note if you can control it manually or not. If it turns on with the app controller, might just be a software bug.
Tried to continue but the error just came back. Mowing now without the trimmer.
Looks like maybe a bug in the new firmware based on some of the new posts.
Quite possible. Try that manual activation. If you can turn it on manually, most likely not a hardware issue.
Will try once mowing is done and I reconnect the trimmer. Have about 3hrs left on the job. And the trimmer did restart when I had it continue, it just stopped again in a short period of time.
Just looked at the trimmer and didn’t see any way to access the connection in the arm without tearing it apart. No visible plug.
I don’t think I’m going to do that. I opened a ticket and don’t want to do anything to void the warranty. Did you find anything disconnected?
No, I didn’t see anything loose or damaged at all. I even disconnected and reseated the connectors just in case.
You can peer through the slot on the side. I think they moved it towards the middle or top.It would be obvious if it was disconnected, but since you said it turns on, it probably isn’t.
That black mark you see is either dirt or a scorch mark. @rgloverii
Is that on your dead unit? Interesting.
No rgloverii I zoomed in
I had the IA analyze it, and it confirms overheating in the circled area or a loose connection.
That is very interesting, Hopefully @rgloverii can take a closer look and take the connector apart if it is coming from that connection.
Just reconnected the trimmer after a shutdown via the app and it turns on via my iPhone and seems to run fine.
