Go buy some flowers

That would be funny. I’ll get the back brace mount installed once Yarbo dries out.
Maybe you can trim the snowbanks on the sides of your driveway?? ![]()
Now there’s an idea. We’ve been getting a steady rain today which has really helped get rid of the snow.
It’s an amazing 50° here in Mid Michigan right now so thankfully all the snow is melting. Wish it could stay this warm in February…
Still only 35 in Alpena but that’s basically shorts weather this time of year.
You’re pretty much an honorary Yooper being way up there!
Never mind, it looks like my shipment went from New Jersey to California and is now on its way across the US to Pennsylvania. So, it looks like it will be next week sometime.
The US Trimmer Tour '26
My trimmer showed up today and it looks like my back brace will show up tomorrow.
Nice! Congrats.
Please post your first impressions and observations.
The Back brace mount came today. I didn’t have any time to open the boxes today to check it out but should by the weekend. Sadly, I can’t do much of anything with it right now anyway. Oh, I’m done with Winter, let’s get on with the mowing season!
Great, Punxatawney Phil, you just cursed us all to another few weeks of winter! :-p

I sure hope not. I’m looking at 50-60 next week in PA, I’m ready to swap modules!
Feel free to send some of that nice warm weather over to Michigan for me! ![]()
Congrats on the trimmer! Hopefully they’ll ship mine soon. Although I won’t be needing a trimmer for another couple of months here in Michigan…
Looking forward to hearing your first impressions!
I didn’t have time to map anything, only manually control it for a little as we had a lot going on today.
I’ve decided that I’m officially done with Winter so I packed my S1 away for the season (fortunately my drive belt looks good still). I’m going to put my turf tracks back on and wash Yarbo.
Back brace mount
Once installed, this thing feels like it’s welded to the Yarbo. It’s very sturdy and feels like you could pick the whole thing up by it. It was very easy to install but I noticed the BBM top four bolt holes didn’t 100% line up with the body holes so I had to thread down the bolds against the plastic body panels. It wasn’t bad or difficult but I was a little concerned once I got down to the metal threads that I may be dealing with a binding situation but, that didn’t happen.
Trimmer
The trimmer install is very quick and SO much nicer than the original plan of bolting it on with presumably fine pitch thread bolts. Thank you PPP members for your feedback on this! The height adjuster has a very satisfying click into each slot. I ran the trimmer against my fence and without issue it rolled against it, never once did I hear the trimmer string hit the fence. As a side note, it was nice smelling fresh cut grass

Did I say I’ve decided that I’m officially done with Winter so I packed my S1 away for the season. ![]()
I’m not 100% sure this design is the most ideal. While I think it will be good to use I do think a floating design with less of a hard attachment to the body is ideal. Unless you have a perfectly flat yard, the trimmer will shift up and down with small undulations causing the trimmer to equally move about. This means it will miss spots and cut others farther down. You could watch this happen in Yarbo marketing videos too. Also, once the mower module gets installed this thing will have a tougher time in already tight/challenging areas. I’m sure that’s where the trimmer mode comes in play but my concern there is excessive yard wear.
Overall I think it will be a game changer, just like Yarbo is, with doing a lot of work for you but I do think we’ll all still be cleaning up areas. Now…the trimmer on the M-Series may be a more perfect solution for those of use with yards and not multi-acre properties. But that will be determined…probably….mowing season 2027.
