No matter where I start the mower from, it tries to run the memory path I reverse. Also, I feel as if the algorithm that dictates the footprint of the core with its various attachments installed, does not take into account the size and physics of the trimmer module. It constantly crashes in reverse into my no-go zones, crashes into my shop, house and other flower beds when making turns. I feel like it is still making turns and going into reverse as if the trimmer attachment isn’t installed.Processing: PXL_20260528_011422918.mp4…

It’s doing Yarbo things unfortunately
I’m sorry to hear that the Trimmer hasn’t met your expectations. I understand how frustrating it must be to see these issues with path planning and maneuvering.
Unfortunately, I’m unable to open the attachments you uploaded. Could you please resend the video and image? That will help me better understand the issue and provide more meaningful feedback to our team.
Thank you, and I look forward to taking a closer look.
Here is the video.
I started a ticket they moved it up to the FSE team this morning.
Thanks, I kept trying to upload the video from my phone app, but the app doesnt tell you that there is a 30mb limit on uploads, so I tried it on my pc and worked 1st try.
Can you post your app view of when this is happening? Perhaps a screen record?
Not now, I’ve removed the weed eater and went back to manual weed eating until I can trust it again. There is definitely something with the algorithm when the weed eater is attached. Mower has been mowing great since last year, no NGZ infiltrations, No GPS wanders, etc. As soon as I added the Weed eater attachment, the mower would back into the house, shop, NGZ’s etc. It’s as if the algorithm doesn’t take into account the mower footprint when adding attachments. When turning with the weed eater attachment installed, it would follow some of the memory pathways to a t, and then others, it would try to complete the path in reverse. Not sure why and tried moving the mower to another part of the yard thinking it had to do with the efficient path algorithm, but still no change. As a side note, i noticed that the mower would cross into the NGZ’s with the Mower head and the weed eater, but with the weed eater removed, it would honor the NGZ’s again.
definitely need updates for the trimmer. it shouldn’t be necessary to explain to yarbo that it’s stupid to back down a side walk in 2 inches of snow with a snow blower in front of yarbo. it does the same with dead end. and now also with a trimmer that is designed to drive forward. but mow the grass in reverse out in an area it can’t be done.
strange.
While I’ve had my Trimmer for just over a week now, I was only able to use it for the first two hours.
I had done a LOT of planning in advance, and had came up with a bunch of ideas on setting up the Memory Paths. I ended up creating some really cool paths that are able to edge some very difficult areas.
Ok. So first impression - This Trimmer is pretty cool. It’s gonna do just what I bought it for! The thicker line never got stuck or jammed. Life was good.
Then, about 2 hours into owning the Trimmer… It damaged the power board on my Core. So now the Trimmer doesn’t work anymore. Thankfully the rest of Yarbo is still working just fine.
So I never got to enjoy the fun of “backwards Memory Paths”. Maybe one day, once my replacement Yarbo arrives…
Oh crap that sucks. Everything else still works, just no trimmer power? I am not sure if I like the idea of a different used core. I would rather they sent me parts I think.
Yep. My thoughts exactly.
My Core has been rock solid. None of the issues that have plagued others. I really would prefer to keep it and just have them send me a replacement power board.
With the new boards being vertical, I suspect it will require a lot of new wiring too. I’m up for the challenge if they offer it as an option.
Yep. Everything else with the core and other attachments work properly. So I’ve still been using it to mow. Just can’t do any trimming. lol
I wonder what the issue is? There have been a lot of posts on FB about this. Some guys say it happens the first time they powered up the trimmer.
So… I just marked the edges of the areas I already had set up, and told it to mow along selected no go zones etc and it is working pretty well… didn’t see a reason to use the memory paths.
I’m not going to say that my trimmer, and my Yarbo as a whole, has been working great. Saying that out loud would mean it will have an issue next time I go to use it.
Also, I don’t leave the trimmer on all the time due to the current weird logic but, it’s working well for me with my current memory paths.
Just don’t let it start a memory path near the end of the memory path and I think it will be ok, but never trust a yarbo or it will do bad yarbo things.
From what I heard, the problem is with the original horizontally mounted power board.
Does that mean there are a bunch more time bombs out there? Is this the reason we have not seen stuff like the rear mounted blower? Did the design something a little on the weak side?
@rgloverii Same, at least you got some hours mine ASAP I turned the yarbo on with the trimmer installed and connected for the first time, it fried my core, smoke, smoke, smoke.
It’s been a week and I am still waiting to hear back from support with a replacement confirmation, did they have to replace both for you? The trimmer and the core?
