Ticket number 132665. @Yarbo-Forum
I was finishing up my mapping of the driveway with the snow blower on Yarbo. I was getting frustrated since the drive runs weren’t going as expected. As it was getting dark and my frustration level was increasing, I sent Yarbo to charge. He went on his merry way, found the docking station, docked, and began charging.
Later that night, I was unable to connect to Yarbo through the network or through bluetooth.
I went to the charging station where Yarbo was docked and smelled “electronics smoke”.
Well that’s not good. Charging pad light was blue and there were no lights on Yarbo.
I tried the power button to try and bring Yarbo to life to no avail.
I created my ticket and sent some pictures to Yarbo Support.
I pulled the battery and hit it with my meter and it read 34.29 volts.
There was no signs of battery “expansion” or damage to the battery box or battery compartment.
I didn’t really see any char marks for areas that looked smoked.
It seems to smell worse towards the top of the core, but that just may be because smoke rises.
This evening, I spent some time cleaning Yarbo’s power board hoping to find some indication of smoke or blown electronics.
I don’t see any obvious charred marks or smoke trails. After cleaning the Power board, I do see this area of possible corrosion or water damage.
Thoughts?
I’m open to suggestions on where else to look for smoked components.
So please make suggestions.
