Trimmer not recognized

I started experiencing the same issue with my Core. The trimmer is no longer being recognized, even though it was working fine until last week. I never removed it, and it seems to have stopped working on its own.

I tried turning everything off, uninstalling and reinstalling the module, and then powering it back on, but that didn’t help. I also rebooted the system with no success. The trimmer light stays green whenever the cable is connected, but the app no longer recognizes the trimmer. Opened the ticket #218787

I guess I can add myself to the list as well.

Just received a brand new replacement Trimmer today. Installed it on my new Yarbo Core, and guess what… It’s not being recognized.

Leads me to believe this is a firmware issue of some type versus a physical problem. Hopefully Yarbo Support will be able to swiftly fix it for all of us.

That really sucks. I want to go try mine and see if I can join the club.

Yes. Please try yours so we can get a better sense on how widespread the issue is.

I also tried connecting my original trimmer to the core, and that one isn’t being detected either.

I will try it out tomorrow, I have to get some mowing done before the next batch of rain comes. We are getting rain almost every day.

My current one is recognized even if I unplug it… I’ll let you know about the new one once they ship it. How is it possible that it doesn’t recognize some of them? It makes me think the core hardware isn’t identical across the board; otherwise, there’s no explanation for it.

Software bug in the firmware most likely.

So we should all have the problem, Bryan… or am I wrong?

If we all have the same software—and consequently the same bug—but some people don’t encounter the problem, then there must be something else going on.

I wish the bugs were that binary. But that’s what makes them bugs. There are conditions that not everyone has that get missed in testing (internal and beta) that the coders didn’t conceive of. That could be differences in hardware, differences in firmware, differences in user configurations, differences in order of operations, etc. There are lots of variables. Crazy thing is, seems to be an industry problem and not just a Yarbo problem. I’m participating in beta tests for many other different types of products and I see it there too. While I may have no issues, I see people struggling and those in between.

The same problem happened to me yesterday: the trimmer light was green, but the app no longer recognized the connected trimmer. I tried everything: rebooting, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, and the trimmer itself. Nothing worked. Ticket open #219073. Everything had been working perfectly since I received the trimmer at the beginning of June.

Yup same group, I am in too. Green trimmer light, but no trimmer in app.

Seriously can the software get anymore f’ed up?

Hmm. Very interesting.

So now the question becomes: Are there currently ANY Trimmer owners with a working trimmer? Or is this a global outage?

Well they fixed my open ticket it won’t go in reverse or cut and trim across my front yard anymore, so there is that…..

Oh really? Glad to hear they fixed your other issues.

Yeah by making it totally unusable they fixed all usability issues. Maybe it is the new Yarbo way…….

Mine is still working for the moment.

Have you detached and reattached it recently? Mine worked a few days ago, but now no go.

lol… Now he’s gonna go unplug his WORKING trimmer and it’s gonna stop working like ours….

I have not disconnected it. Am I a gambling man… :thinking::game_die: Nope!
