Upcoming Update: Firmware V3.14.0 & App V3.19.1

Something to be said for a cold boot vs a warm boot. Fairly certain their restart just bounces the dockers.

I’m happy to report that after receiving new mower unit my Yarbo is back to being a robot that actually is helping out in my yard. Without needing a babysitter. It has been mowing non stop for 5 days without any issues. I have about 2 hectares or 5 acres to mow.

It to be able to do so I had to make it as dumb and blind as possible. Gentle contact without vision mowing in medium speed. It is not what I would call gentle but having it for already 3 years, I have in many places installed thick wooden posts around the obstacles I want to protect from this yellow ram. I have hauled many loads of 20-30kg heavy rocks from the shoreline for my wife to be able to protect her precious flowerbeds. It does help. Especially in the case of frontal collision. If however Yarbo decides to reverse into activ no-go zone. Then even large rocks doesn’t help. It can masterfully climb backwards higher objects that it’s of hight. Doing so braking mower disc’s in the progress. Must point out that Yarbo has so far always sent me the replacement parts for free in the situations like that. 3 years have thought me to have a many of different parts as a spare. Most of them screwed off from the units I have sent back to them after receiving new replacement cores or a mowers. I have asked them if I could do this and they have always been ok with this. Most likely the manufacturing costs for almost all parts for them are very cheap so they haven’t bothered to say no.

I just wish they would fix the vision thing. It was much better unit before they released the firmware what broke the obstacle recognition algorithms.

Thanks for sharing the update, and I’m glad to hear the new mower unit has been running reliably for you.

We also understand that the visual obstacle detection still needs improvement. This is an area we’ll continue working on over the long term, and I’ll make sure your feedback and experience are shared with the product team. Thanks again for taking the time to share such detailed feedback.

Have not been here for a while.

Is the NGZ crossing finally fixed?

That damn thing ruined the blueberry bed. Likely with its fat back, as i have gentle contact and front bumper is working fine.

NOT FIXED, caution.

In a thread on here yesterday we were just discussing how it backs into things.

Regular incursions. Not fixed. Hot Fixes were intended for these type of safety issues. Instead, they keep developing for the M, poorly attempting to hide it, and breaking more and more things on Y.

In my opinion, they have no intention of fixing most of the bugs before the Y goes end of life. Very sad and very typical of Chinese controlled entities. Despite everything they say, the results tell the story. It doesn’t take a year to fix the issues… if they wanted to.

I’m currently compiling a list of items that were to be fixed “in a future update”. Amazing ambivalence!

I’m sorry to hear about what happened to your blueberry bed. Could you please submit a support ticket with the details so our team can look into the root cause?

There can be different reasons for Yarbo entering or crossing a No-Go Zone, so we’d like to review your specific case.

Hey. Raised a ticket.

Can you expedite it right away to skip all possible AI questions and wasting time till real engineers will take a look (and find out that time has passed and all history is overwritten already)?

I am also being hit with every 15 minute backups for no reason at all.

Known bug that should be fixed in the next hotfix release.

Hi there, your case has already been escalated to our FSE team for further investigation, so they can take a closer look at the issue and the relevant logs. Thank you for providing the ticket number and details. We appreciate your cooperation and will work to identify the root cause.

Hi Kevin, as Bryan mentioned, this is a known issue, and we have a fix planned for the upcoming hotfix.

when will we see hotfox on all that destroyed?

Hotfox. It that like a fancy hotdog? Those things get destroyed at those eating contests!

:joy::joy::joy::joy: hotfox :smirking_face: hotfix. :grin:

The latest hotfix is already being rolled out.

Just noticed : find my yarbo causes app to crash (ios, iphone 16.. anyone else have this?

Yes. They are aware.

This update has completely bricked my Yarbo. Please revert to the previous firmware ASAP.

Since the update, Yarbo constantly loses its signal. It can’t maintain a connection for more than about 10 seconds before disappearing for up to half an hour. It’s also not following its planned routes and can’t reliably find the docking station.

This is ridiculous. The system was functional before this update, and the new firmware has made it essentially unusable. Please either roll back the firmware immediately or provide a fix as soon as possible.

Recommend you open a ticket if you haven’t. This doesn’t seem consistent with most of the community receiving the update.
