I’m sure I’ve seen comments on creating a virtual docking station, but I can’t find specifics in the search. For the winter, I don’t want to move my standard one. I want to create a virtual dock inside my garage. I’ve checked and do seem to have at least marginal GPS near the door. Has anyone done this, and could you please comment on specifically how to do it, and how the Core reacts to it, since it won’t be sensing any charge pad for positioning?
So you create it by going to edit map, docking station and add a docking station.
Select no docking station link at the bottom. It creates a fake area that looks like a dock that it will go and park at.
However, I would create this in a good GPS area outside the garage and not inside. You don’t want it having GPS drift issues while going into the garage.
Also a brief note: a virtual dock does not pay attention to orientation when you make the dock, the Yarbo will simply drive the path straight into the area and stop
Hi Bryan, I created Virt Dock Station, made areas and paths, set blow direction, but get an error failed to calculate route when testing the plan. What did I miss?
If you drive into the area and start the plan, does it calculate and work? If so, work backwards starting the plan all the way back to the dock and see where it fails. Probably just a pathway issue. Sometimes you just need to delete and recreate them.
Thanks brother, I sorted it out. Turns out one of the areas didn’t have a path into it.
