Has anyone else had moisture trapped behind the coverings of the front camera lens of the mower attachment? It is causing severe distortion when viewing operation using “Smart Vision” and caused Yarbo to return to the charging pad during a work session thinking it was raining on a perfectly sunny day and there was no moisture between its rain sensor contacts. I was finally able to get it going again by disabling the rain sensor option in work preferences. I just submitted a ticket on this.
Looks like the seal failed. Get a ticket in so they can send you a replacement. In the interim, you can place it in the sun to see if it will dry out.
Seen the same issue with Tesla camera’s from time to time.
Hi there, I’ve checked your support ticket regarding the camera issue. Please let us know whether the fogging clears after the unit has had time to dry. That will help us determine whether it’s temporary condensation or whether the camera sealing may need further attention.
As for the rain sensor issue you mentioned, please also include that in the support ticket so our team can look into both issues together.
The Yarbo unit is now in the garage and will check after 48 hrs to see if it dried out. Not feeling comfortable if it dries out that it will not reoccur again. I did state in the ticket that two contacts for the rain sensor were dry and clean. Does Yarbo process the camera optical information to help determine if it is raining or does it solely rely on the conductivity between the rain sensor pins?
It does solely rely on the conductivity between the rain sensor pins.
So the lens fogging is just coincidental with the rain fault. I had a suspicion that the optical information was not being processed for this purpose. Thank you for the answer.
Yes, as B-Mod mentioned, the rain sensor relies solely on the conductivity between the sensor pins to detect rain. So the lens fogging and the rain sensor issue should not be directly related.
