Perhaps someone can help me out. It’s something odd I haven’t been able to figure out why the programming is this way.
Situation: Due to intermittent GPS connectivity, I sometimes have connectivity at my docking station, and sometimes I don’t. When I don’t, I have to manually drive the mower off the docking station to a spot where the HALOW and GPS both show green to start a mowing plan.
I then load a plan into the mower and press start. Yarbo builds the route, then immediately throws itself into reverse at full speed. Why do this if the rear cameras aren’t working? Why do this if the mower is near a No-Go zone? I actually had the mower climb up and over a stump and get itself stuck in the middle of the air during one of these backup starting maneuvers.
It just seems unnecessary and just another way to break RTK antennas. Is this going to be resolved in a future update?
Quite right – avoid starting a Work Plan near a No-go Zone and Deadends. Bad combo. Best to be in an open area away from No-go Zones especially before starting a Work Plan.
I’ve had my mower thrash its head and start to trash what’s in a No-go Zone, all because I started a Work Plan 2-3 feet from the No-go Zone, and the mower’s intended first target in the Work Plan, a Deadend, was on the other side of that No-go Zone. I guess the rover wanted a shortcut.
I tried to reproduce it so I could report it, couldn’t, so I re-ordered the Work Plan to pull the rover away from the No-go Zone with a Deadend on the other side of the Area to help it stop happening again.
I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’ve experienced, and thank you for bringing it to our attention.
I’ve shared the details of this behavior with the technical team handling your support ticket, and we will investigate it further to better understand what’s causing it.
This is a pretty easy one to reproduce. Move Yarbo into an area and start a job. It always reverses first. I’ve always wondered why it does this too. After breaking a fence, I am very aware of this quirk now.
@Yarbo-Forum is there an explanation for this seemingly unnecessary movement?
