Work Preference - Incorrect documentation

On April 8th I submitted ticket #76960 regarding the ‘Rollover and Tilt’ and ‘Lift Detection’ labels being reversed in the app. This was fixed in the following update. I just noticed that the documentation is still incorrect.

Incorrect documentation
5. Rollover & Tilt Detection: When disabled. Yarbo lifting during work plan will not trigger any alerts or actions.
6. Lift Detection: When disabled. Yarbo rollovers or tilts during work plan will not trigger any alerts or actions

On a related note. What exactly do these settings actually mean? What constitutes a rollover? If the mower were to actually rollover why wouldn’t you want an alert, this seems like a major problem. Same for the other settings. What constitutes a lift; 10 degrees, 20? Same with tilt?

Lift detection is specifically for the mower module. If the caster wheels drop down (like the mower module was lifted up), then this pauses the unit, turns off the blades, and throws an alert “module lifted”. Rollover and tilt detection is specifically for the core. If the core tilts too much or rolls over, it will stop everything (suspend the plan) and throw an alert.

I can tell you that at least with lift detection I’ve had false positives as the module went over a depression, but the core was still up higher. The caster wheels dropped down and the plan was suspended.

Rollover and tilt I also assume on slopes and with some of the rear bucking that it does when backing on slopes might currently trigger that if enabled in certain circumstances.

They let you disable these to get around those certain situations. I agree, it would be nice to at least have an option to just get the alert and continue or chose whether or not to suspend the plan.

Thank you for pointing out the inconsistency in the documentation and for helping us improve the app explanations—we truly appreciate your attention to detail.

As for your question, and thanks to @bryan.wheeler for providing a helpful illustration:
The Rollover & Tilt Detection and Lift Detection features are triggered when Yarbo detects an angle greater than 15 degrees in either tilt or lift. Once this threshold is exceeded, the system will trigger an alert to notify the user.

Your feedback is very valuable, and we’ll make sure the documentation is reviewed and updated accordingly.
