WP032 error

Route calculation failed.
It appears the latest update has bricked my mower. The forum suggests it’s due to a no-go zone problem. I have 80+ no-go zones. I have tried turning a few off without success. This process is ridiculous.
Even with the mower at the edge of the dock, it will not move because of this error.

Is there any chance this problem will be fixed without a complete remapping of my property

Can’t see your map, but any NGZ’s that cut off sections of an area so the core has no path to get to it is the issue. You can add another NGZ to fully block the cut off piece or expand the existing ones.

Don’t know if they plan to roll this back or not, but you could open a ticket and see if they can help you figure out which one(s) are causing the calculation failed issue and see if maybe they can implement a work around or something.

I added my map again. Please let me know which of the 80+ no-go zones you think are causing the problem…

Given what I paid for this device and the time it takes to remap everything, this update was not a software improvement.
And I already opened a ticket.

For starters, I think these. Overlapping areas are always tricky.

As Bryan mentioned, if a no-go zone completely cuts off parts of an area so that there’s no valid path between sections, it can lead to the “route calculation failed” issue.

Could you please try identifying the no-go zones that may be causing this and temporarily disabling them to see if the error still occurs? This should help narrow down the root cause.

@Yarbo-Forum The original post here is a month old, but I’ve been bit by it now, same thing.

I have just switched from the snowblower to the mower. The snowblower Work Plans were OK when I stopped using the snowblower about a month and a half or so ago, but Work Plans with the mower are now getting “Route Calculation Failed … (WP032)”.

See the map. The rover (yellow highlight) won’t go to Recharge from there, nor will it mow the DogPen (the selected Area). I put the rover in the DogPen, and it still had an issue calculating the map and would not execute the Work Plan. I disabled or moved all No Go Zones anywhere nearby, and the Area where the rover is and the DogPen are Labeled for Mower.

So I’m stuck.

Were there any changes recently that could cause this? Any workaround perhaps? (A reboot didn’t fix it.)

Or could it be because I have the new App but not the new firmware yet? If they’re out of synch, I can re-try when the rover is updated (which would now be that new hotfix).

Thanks!

Something looks off with the pathway from the dock. It looks to be misaligned from what I’m used to seeing. The small gap in front is what I’m calling out. If you manually dock, what does the Yarbo alignment to the dock look like? Map drift is the first thing I’d check for. Here’s what mine looks like.

Use the half split method. Drive it half way to the work area and send Yarbo to charge. See if it can plan a route. If so split the distance to the work area and try to see if it’ll plan a route to the charger.

Might help narrow down the offending item.

As you likely know EVERYTHING in the “route” to the work are has to be marked for the mower.

You likely know that but if someone else stumbles onto this thread it’s food for thought.

Ken do you have any NGZ’s that are completely or narrowly cutting off parts of an area? This is what that error is saying. It can’t plan a path to those cutoff areas, so it stops and throws the error. It checks the ENTIRE map for this before calculating any executed work plans. Check your NGZ’s and if they are questionable, turn it off and see if it fixes it. Then you know where the problem one is. I also agree with @cobradunn about the dock pathway. Start from charging on the dock and map it driving out into the area. That’s the best way.

Had a core replaced and downloaded the map from the cloud, did a Map Drift Correction – was done last Fall, all was fine. Mower and snowblower were happy.

Recently replaced the Docking Station. Snowblower was happy.

This mucking about is likely the cause of the pathway being a little off. It had not been a problem with the snowblower - all good for navigation/recharging.

This WP032 issue I think is something different.

Yeah, tried the rover from a few spots, haven’t found a working combo yet.

Did have the SAM on there yesterday and did Go To Waypoint, no problem. Didn’t do anything else, may have to try more Areas or the SAM or snowblower to see if the behavior changes.

I don’t think I’ll go too crazy until the App+firmware are in synch.

Got it, can Preview now!

I turned off the Culprit NGZ, can Preview now (thank you @bryan.wheeler).

Hmm…Culprit NGZ isn’t related to my DogPen Work Plan or navigation in that blue stuff at all, but it now stops ALL of my Work Plans? It was not like this before. It used to just ignore the part of the Area I cut off and mowed everything else.

I may need a NGZ blocker to prevent the mower crossing my driveway…but now that won’t work for me…? Yeah, ouch. This navigation change may need a re-think. (I am using Labels, so we’ll see.)

Anyway, that blocking I did with the Culprit NGZ is intentional to keep the rover out of that spot so it won’t mow there every time. I turn the NGZ on and off as needed. I have another NGZ that blocks the DogPen (there is usually a wheelbarrow on that Pathway), so that will bite me as well. I’m not sure I understand disabling navigation like this because a chunk of an Area or unrelated Pathway is blocked.

Just edit the NGZ and expand it like this.

No way…yep, Bryan with the 4-1-1 once again!

Thank you, that helps huge!

Yes sir. Happy to help! Good to hear from you again too!

He is the Yarbo master! The rest of us just watch in awe

We need some better error messages that identify the offending item.

Having ALL work stopped because of this No Go Zone error message really threw me. It’s a change in behavior, used to work and would just block the rover from getting to the whole Area. Bryan’s suggestion to cover the remaining Area with the No Go Zone (which you can now edit!!!) got me to see a “Preview” – awesome – just need to make sure it’ll work for reals now (grass needs to dry out) – should work just fine.

Good to see the mapping improvements – editing Areas and No Go Zones manually. Gonna make tweaking of No Go Zones soooo much easier. I haven’t been following stuff too closely the past coupla months, and it would appear I’ve missed out on a few new tricks and need to catch up!

Yes we do. There were some tweaks to that this new firmware and app. Hope we see more.
