Yarbo crawls with Vision on

Holding the power button for 60 is during boot.

Oh. Whatever. Nevertheless i have 0 useful attention to my ticket. Maybe @Yarbo-Forum can poke someone there?

Did one more test. Switched to Moderate bypass. Yarbo thinks it’s surrounded by obstacles. Camera clean, no errors.

I’ve not had any luck with moderate bypass lately. I’ve had to completely switch to gentle contact. Used to work extremely well for me. Now, not so much.

Yep. Moderate bypass was generating some ghost obstacles time to time and gentle contact solved the issue and even if it detected some ghost obstacle, slowed down for it, it was not noticeable. Now with my new mower module it sees those ghost almost all the time and 99% of time is in that slow-down-near-contact mode.

Definitely there is something wrong … hope Yarbo support eventually will come back with a solution to the issue.

That’s the stuff the makes me angry, you, we have to disable all the features marketing worked to hard to promote. It’s funny, but really it is sad.

I use to have moderate bypass on every area, now I have it on none, and the bad thing is my pro mower has scratches all over it from running into stuff now.

To be fair, I generally either disable or significantly dial down the safety and avoidance features on my other robot mowers too.

They all will skip over tall grass or weeds when the avoidance is enabled. And they don’t like mowing under trees with branches that are close to the ground (but there is space for them to drive under them).

I don’t think it’s specifically a Yarbo problem, but in some ways Yarbo is somewhat worse than others.

I think this is really valuable info to share. Most tend to get into a negative feedback loop and it does sometimes feel like it’s just having issues but the reality is, most of these devices have similar or varying degrees of pros/cons with the available options. I think we all get frustrated when a feature works then gets worse with updates and I’m sure Yarbo isn’t the only device experiencing this.

Sure, but in my case the previous mower unit worked without issues and the new one constantly sees obstacles. So there is something wrong or broken again.

Funny I just posted similar on another thread. Both other mowers I have experience with is Mammotion. Luba 1 and 2. 1 had little of the issues, but it also did not have anything but bumpers and ultrasonics, still effectively disabled the ultrasonics (gentle contact). On the 2 I had to disable these things as well, that’s at my dad’s house and was never setup at mine. Low branches, fences, shadows, tall grass, ghosts, who knows would make it go off course…Just like Yarbo. I do like on Yarbo I can setup areas where this is on. I just wish Yarbo would stay on course…

I use low end sensors for things in my smart home. I noticed all of them have hiccups and detect things not there. Starting to become a full ghost believer

I will have to say…how does it discern a tall weed that needs to be cut from a tree sapling or guide wire?

Honestly I think some combination of sensors, human input, and better AI/object detection. I don’t think any of these units currently have the horsepower to do full AI to the level needed.

I don’t believe any of them are doing any true on device AI. It’s all vision based training models and object recognition. Dirty cameras, sun glare, and shadows can throw a lot of that right out the window.

Hi there, sorry for the delay in response. I’ve asked our team to investigate this as soon as possible.
