Is anyone else running into this type of issue? I sent the Yarbo out for its mowing job yesterday, and I was unable to finish it. It keeps creating these obstacles represented by the red blobs, blocks itself off, and complains that it cannot navigate around them. I took a cropped screenshot here and wrote over the top what these NGZs are that the Yarbo is traveling around.
Everything in between is grass, and nothing is lying around in the yard. It happens in random spots all over, and I guess that they are shadows tagged as items in the yard. It’s only happened on the last two scheduled jobs from last week and this week. Last week I was eventually able to get it to finish, but yesterday I couldn’t.
Also, I’ve had several errors stating that the connection cable is loose on the trimmer, “limit angle reached,” “trimmer malfunction detected,” and “line feed error” all of which I can pause the job, nudge it a very small amount in any direction in the app and start the job for it to continue happily until it gets caught with the red blobs on the map that it complains about again.
I really hope a future update resolves this. I’ve had to depend more on my Navimow for basic cutting and mostly fight with my Yarbo to do what I send it out to do.
I began having the same thing happen, including in transit to the target area, beginning last week. Previous to that I did not have this occur. I opened a ticket and they had me turn off tilt detection and lift detection as well as set impacting area’s obstacle avoidance to gentle and it stopped producing these obstacles - but as you can expect those safety features are disabled and I do not want to leave them that way.
Turn off vision
Turn of ultrasonics
Turn off roll over detection
Turn off lift detection
This all equals a blind dumb piece of equipment. We paid for all these features yet we have to turn them off so Yarbo can bounce around on its bumper blindly cutting grass until the front bumper fails….
We’re very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
For the false obstacle detection issue, please try the temporary suggestions shared by other users. If you disable any detection features, please make sure sensitive areas are protected with No-Go Zones to reduce potential safety risks.
Regarding the Trimmer errors, our support team will follow up on your ticket and continue investigating the issue as soon as possible.
Thanks for the reply, but I’m not interested in turning off the features suggested. I want this to work with them enabled as this is how the device is intended to be used. Please let me know if you need anything from my end to help fix this
I understand your expectation that Yarbo should work properly with your current obstacle avoidance settings. Your case has been escalated to our FSE team, and we will further investigate to identify the root cause.
The suggested workaround was only provided as a temporary option in case you would like to run a work plan before we reach a final conclusion.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we look into this issue.
