Yarbo has fixed the "stick to the same path" issue?

Just noticed something interesting I haven’t seen before.

Yarbo was mowing the area on the right side of the picture. The battery level dropped under 20% at the moment when Yarbo was in the area what is overlapping with the middle area on the picture what is the neighboring area to the one it was mowing. So it was able to understand that it is ok to just cross the area it is in anyway (in overlapping situation) and instead going all the way around to the designated pathway for the area it was mowing. It did somehow managed to make the correct decision. That is the first time I have noticed Yarbo doing this. In theory it could have also just skipped all the pathways and headed straight to the charging pad but it chose to follow the pathways from that point onwards. I have all my areas overlapping in couple of places so Yarbo should in theory know where is mapped area and where is possible to find safe way to “home”. Would I want it to do this? Without specific settings possibilities, no.

Have anyone noticed similar behavior?

@Yarbo-Forum Is this some new feature I haven’t heard of?

I noticed it taking other paths but I wasn’t sure I was seeing it right, because I never saw this noted in the software revision notes

This would be expected as it calculates the recharge route based on where it is when that process kicks off. So it just decided it was in that area and ran with it. Overlaps are a bit of a wild card for the code right now. They generally recommend not overlapping when there is an identified problem.

I’ve found that the Z-order (the order in which they were drawn) will impact that behavior. I want to say that the one on top wins, but I stopped caring awhile ago and do not remember anymore.

I was thinking the same thing.

Since it was in the overlap, it may have decided it was in the left area and just drove to the charging station. Feature or fluke it made a good decision in my mind. :wink:

The last area what was mapped was the one Yarbo mowed. So it chose the second to last area to use as a shortcut to the charging station.
