When mowing on hills does not cut a straight line when mowing along or diagonally on the hillside, is there any adjustments that would fix or improve this?
This is a known issue that Yarbo is working on. For more information (Improve Slope Compensation to Prevent Gaps in Mowing Coverage)
This is a known bug right now that will hopefully be resolved in the next firmware release soon.
Thank you for your question!
We plan to further optimize mowing performance on slopes in the future. In the meantime, as a workaround, you can try adjusting the route angle of your slope area. Setting the mowing route to run parallel to the direction of the slope can help reduce this issue and improve overall mowing performance.
We appreciate your feedback and support as we continue to enhance the system.
I would be interested in how this would be solved without significantly changing the way it maps…I think it is just a limitation of marking a 2d outline of a 3d space… no way to know the actual distance needed. On a simple slope saving the elevation on each end might do it… but for an area that alters elevation there would be no way without incorporating a detailed topo map or having to have you run the mower over the area and record elevation at different points.
As is, either making smaller areas or setting the path perpendicular to the slope as mentioned above gets around it.
