Yarbo Pro Mower delivery?

Well… FedEx has struck again…. My delivery has been delayed to Wednesday for what appears to be no good reason. It’s being delivered in Indiana, it was in Ohio, then in Seymour IN which is only a half hour SOUTH of me, and an hour later it’s now in KENTUCKY. I don’t know about the rest of you, but after 5 years of FedEx not being able to find my house, leaving packages at the road side, and claiming that I’m not home when they never even stopped at my house, I’ve basically lost all faith in FedEx ever delivering anything to the correct address or on time. I pretty much consider it a minor miracle if a FedEx package at least shows up at my neighbor’s house.

My experience with FedEx is almost always bad. My normal FedEx delivery guy is very nice and does a pretty good job but he’s it, I’ve never had another good one from that company. Also, nearly all FedEx delivered boxes are damaged on delivery. Amazon delivery tends to be quite rough too. I almost always choose UPS given the chance.

FedEx has gone down hill. They used to be my preference. My regular driver used to take packages that USPS and UPS would throw out in the elements and put them up by my door under the porch. Haven’t seen that level of decency in a long time. My second core’s dock and M1 module were due to be delivered a few months back. The delivery was delayed due to some unknown reason for a day. Then the day came of delivery and they didn’t show, the window closed and the system said delivery next business day. 2 hours later around 9PM a unmarked box truck backs in unannounced and drops the dock off and the driver is visibly moving and shuffling stuff around in the back. It was utter chaos, boxes everywhere thrown about. I said, do you have the other package? Nope, that’s all I got. The other ones coming tomorrow. Pretty sure it was buried in that mess and he said no way am I dealing with that. I got it the next day, but wow. Boxes are always beat up pretty bad and filthy too.

@pingrealty1 Hi there,

Based on the time you placed your order, the Mower Pro is estimated to be delivered by the end of September. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding!

Saw an update on my delivery this morning that said that the label on the package was damaged/unreadable and they had to make a new label…. How much do you want to bet that I don’t even receive the right package

I saw that 3 times for one shipment once. I still got it somehow. Hope you get yours ok.

Got my pro today. Will let yall know how it performs!

Aaagghhh …. Still waiting

That happens often enough that it seems like “label unreadable” is the FedEx way of saying “a delay we don’t want to take the blame for”

It definitely has a different sound. Ran it out in the hay field it went OK kind of an unfair test for it. More because the core kept slipping in the deep grass. I probably need to get it down a few more inches to give it a real test. The pro was cutting when it could move.

Unfortunately most of the rest of my yard is currently brown but I’ll send it out tomorrow to mow one of the areas the M1 has been maintaining we’ll see the difference in cuts after that.

Some pictures after opening it up.

Well I was going to post a couple of pictures but @tallman.brew has me beat. Couple of things I noticed right off the bat:

  1. It changes some of the settings from the M1 (object avoidance mode, turn type). I was expecting it to stay the same, but I guess it makes sense.
  2. I did a quick test running over three pine cones and a couple of small sticks, two of the pinecones got stuck under it, I think this guard is much worse for catching stuff or I just had some kind of fluke happen. It’s verry open so probably better for not collecting grass…. They will be coming off soon.
  3. Some of the bolts on the cutting disk are on there a lot tighter than others… if someone were to not be holding onto the disk while removing them with a electric driver they could cut their thumb… don’t ask me how I know. I wish it came with the blades on it instead of the disks… I feel almost everyone getting the pro model is going to be using the blades.
  4. It does sound different, not too loud but has a deeper, almost muffled combustion engine sound.

I will probably do some more testing this weekend, but so far so good (minus the guards).

I feel that….

Right to the blades! I love it.

Guards still leave room to catch stuff….. that’s a bummer.

Yeah, they are a lot smaller so I think for not collecting clumps of grass it will be better. I never really had problems with that with my grass though, and ran it a few months before a pinecone got stuck under the M1 guards and I took them off.

Thanks for the initial impressions. What about the quality of the camera image? I thought I heard they added upgraded cameras to the Pro.
