Initial impressions so far are good. I ran it through a small job and I definitely notice a better cut. The noise is what you would expect from larger steel blades spinning at high speeds. The normal gearbox hum still stands out above the added noise from the heavier blades. I see some changes and I do think the engineers addressed some of the issues that plagued my older mower model. I think the guards are managed better and I bet I dont have to remove them but time will tell.
I wish they packaged the mower with the large blades pre installed instead. They should assume most would prefer that over the razors. Especially with current owners buying the unit as an upgrade they are taking the razors off 100% of the time right out of the box. No biggie but its the small things. Also super minor but it was packaged in a way it bent the rubber grass sweepers (rubber flaps that drag on the grass a bit) and they are pretty bent in place. Not serving a good function until they fall back into placeâŚif they ever do. Easy fix but againâŚsmall things.
Otherwise its just humming along and I can only nit pick on minor details but im happy with the purchase so far out of the box and it will have a good two acre mow tomorrow.
I appreciate the attempt. Definitely tough to tell but I think I get it. Glad to hear itâs dealing with the wet stuff pretty well. I donât plan on cutting when wet but Iâm sure itâll happen at some point.
I have only cut a small area so far, but agree, looks better, like with a regular mower. Had some pine straw and things like that that the disc blades kind of broke up after multiple passes, the pro solid blades mulch it right up.
You are correct, but on the good side, the Pro Mowers have arrived on the West Coast and are working through Customs now. So figure, we will begin to start hearing from them next week. Almost there.
@pepe Sorry for the confusion. The delivery timeline depends on the region you are in. The estimate I shared earlier applies to customers in the U.S. For Europe, the first batch is still going through customs, so it will take a bit more time before we can ship it to you.
I truly appreciate your patience and understanding!
I did not realize the Pro mower came with both real blades and razor blades. Makes me wonder if the M1 would accept the new mower blades? Any idea if the M1 can be retrofitted? I do understand the motor torque is different and the warranty would be voided yada yadaâŚ
Those of us cutting pastures would love real mower bladesâŚhint hint
I canât say that I tried but I will say there are different specific holes that the real blades use on the spindle. They do not align with the platter holes.
I do think the new platter would work on the M1 they seem much better constructed than the OG M1s.
I attempted to ask, several times, during the Yarbo Live Feed last night on Youtube for an update on the status of the most recent Pro Module shipmentsâŚ
Yarboâs Reply: You should be receiving your shipment soon.
Donât you still have 1.5 weeks to wait until the end of when Yarbo said people should receive theirs who already ordered? I ordered mid August and it is my understanding that preorders should be out by the end of September.
