Yeah, that is stupid, they want videos but then they set the file size so small. We don’t get paid enough to be this involved in beta testing.
Wait, you’re getting paid? ![]()
Oh how I wish…
Got a similar error twice in the last 2 weeks. It was working find and then stopped in the middle of my land (clear sky, normal diagnostics). Has never done that (my second summer with my yarbo). Not sure what worked but I hard rebooted (press the button 1 minute), then drove to charging station, then activated netRTK then went back to data center… Haven’t done that since… So it points ot a software glitch to me… Are you sure your diagnostics are all good, your disks are spinning correctly? Most of similar problems in the last 2 years were either “broken antennas” but you don’t notice (not joking, it happened to me 3 times now, I reported it in previous posts where you have a seemingly normal antenna but no GPS lock, you change that antenna, problem solved) or software glitch (you reboot a few times and at some poins it works…). Could you share the diagnostics of your machine so we are sure it is not a RTK problem?
We’ve received your update in the support ticket, and I’ve asked the team to follow up as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience.
@Yarbo-Forum Appreciate that. Unfortunately I only receive 1 message every 24 hours (if that) so this process is horriblylong, leading to a week of downtime with no answers.
Your data latency is high in those tickets. Did you recently look at your scatterplot or something? That latency could impact “GPS”. As for the quality, is PPVS enabled or disabled? If disabled, quality should be 0. Everything else looks good. Likely something the FSE’s are going to have to resolve under the hood with the software.
Keep an eye on your data latency. It shouldn’t be more than 1-2 normally. Are you using satellite internet or anything that might be causing latency? Is your data center plugged directly into your router or through some sort of wireless bridge? Try unplugging the DC for 5 mins and see if the latency goes away. If not, reboot your router (and any other network equipment the DC might be plugged into). If that doesn’t help, you could try enabling PPVS and see if that helps. I know disabling is what fixed it before if I remember correctly.
I have fiber optic internet. The DC is plugged into an Asus node on my network and has a couple hundred mbps of bandwidth.
I can try boggling PPVS, I’ve been leaving that off as it was causing patching issues before.
Edit: Enabling PPVS makes GPS not connect. So we’ll leave that disabled.
Try this. Make sure Cellular is enabled and then unplug the LAN side of the POE injector. See if you get green GPS then. Note, you may need to be in bluetooth range to connect to the core if it doesn’t switch to cellular for some reason.
Hi there, I’ve asked the FSE responsible for your case to prioritize the review and follow up as soon as possible.
We kindly ask for your patience while the team completes the diagnosis and reaches a final conclusion. Thank you for your understanding.
@Yarbo-Forum Thanks, I’ve had the unit ready for him to remote in since 7am… Hopefully they do that soon.
@bryan.wheeler I’ll try that as soon as Yarbo Support remotes in.
@Yarbo-Forum Ugh, this more than frustrating. I have my DC hard wired to internet and the core on WiFi and cellular.
For the 3rd time now I’ve received the same response from tech support that they couldn’t get through.
What other methods do we have to fix this unit as its apparent its not going to happen remotely.
@bryan.wheeler Going out to try your suggestion soon.
Make sure they have your correct serial number. Paste it from the app back into the ticket. If you can access the core remotely from the app (not using bluetooth), then they should be able to as well.
@bryan.wheeler Yes I can access remotely.
I just did what you said, unplugged the LAN and the Yarbo came back with green GPS (just like when using the DC with LAN).
I went to start a plan and the result was the same. Yarbo did half a smart turn and stopped.
This is very strange. Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s anything further you can do. It’s something going on with the unit itself.
…and unfortunately they’ve offered no solutions except to try again in a couple days. My patience has worn out though, they keep saying the same thing over and over. It’s simply not acceptable to wait more days when they’re only trying once a day and then want “the next few days” to try the same thing that hasn’t worked before.
"We have just attempted to perform remote diagnostics on your Yarbo. However, due to the current network conditions, our diagnostic sessions were interrupted several times and could not be completed successfully.
We will arrange another time over the next few days to perform remote diagnostics on your Yarbo."
